Could there be a Zary for Rossi swap being discussed?

Feels like a stretch but also nice pull hahah. So just to play it out...

Cagnoni is short but sturdy and has legit offensive chops, but will be blocked by Dickenson in all likelihood from long-term PP one opportunities. San Jose also has the Oilers' first next year so could easily see them dealing a smaller (but high upside) guy like Cagnoni and a late first for an Andy and hope to sign him to help mentor the young D (or flip him at the deadline if Andersson isn't into it).

Better than the Hanifin deal for sure, but not the pie in the sky some would be hoping for.

The Flames trading for a 5’9 offensive dman when they already have Parekh and Weegar so the guy would not see the powerplay would be a terrible move.

Conroy no longer needs the phone, his work is done and it’s summertime. Spinning in the chair because he is happy with what he has done. Zary part of the deal and is being left behind at the station as the Flames move on.
