I've said it before. The Oilers' whole plan is to copy the team from the 1980s, who could outscore their mistakes because they had Gretzky, Kurri, Messier, Anderson, and Coffey. All the Oilers have now is McDavid and Draisaitl, and it isn't enough. You simply can't do that in a salary-capped league.

It was, and I mean it, an absolute pleasure to listen to post game CHED. The presser in particular was gold.
Draisatl “we are all bad but the d keeps giving up goals and we can’t out score mistakes”. 1 G, -1.
Mavi 3 assists and -4. To blame for at least 2 goals against. 2nd star.
Nurse (who Spector’s questions were aimed at…even on the radio it sounded like Nurse wanted to pop Spector) 0-0-0 and even +/-.
Spector btw tried to get Knobby house elf to bite on D sucks questions. I’m going to see if I can find a link to the presser.
They do not sound like a team.

Sounds about right… Pissy and Mavi blaming the defense when they are consistently minus players and are on the ice for approximately half the game. They take absolutely zero ownership, it’s ridiculous

Mavi stormed off the ice and probably sulked in a toilet stall.

Faster than he moves on a back check that’s for sure.
Will it be fast enough to reach the terminal velocity to leave?
He’s likely wishing he bought his contract at Costco so he can return it.

But Elliotte says they’re looking for an F and a D. Wonder how they’ll manage that feat.

In the past 10 games, the Oilers have given up 42 goals.
That's 4.2 GAA per game.
For a full season, that would be the 85th worst GAA of all-time. In the past 36 years, only 4 teams have had worse, the 90/91 Nordiques, 91/92 Sharks, 92/93 Sharks, 92/93 Whalers, and 95/96 Sharks.
Team defense is beyond abysmal and getting worse.

The Oilers haven’t had a closed door players only meeting yet.

How do you know? Mavi and Pissy could have a closed-door meeting in a broom closet and not tell anybody. That's the whole team right there.

Hopefully Seattle, LA and San Jose can pass the Oilers and keep them out of the playoffs.

Spector is the worst. Can’t believe none of the players have punched him yet.

For someone who is an elite pro athlete and team captain, the guy sure is a wiener.

I think I saw a Tweet earlier today some Oilers fan said:
Gretzky == McDavid
Draisaitl == Messier
Hyman == Anderson
Bouchard == Coffey
They just need to trade for Kurri.
I tried to find it again but couldn't find it.
