I don't even understand the point Khan is making. Just because there wasn't a six week tournament or rankings doesn't mean someone can't get a title shot. It's just a weird comment to make.
Didn't Danny Garcia get a title shot recently against MJF? He loses all the time as well. Jinder has been on NXT much of the year, or managing the tag team. He hasn't actually been in many matches.

It's kind of funny too because you can fully see when he's stressed and he starts lashing out on Twitter.
Jacksonville lost this week and missed out on playoff revenue, Fulham having a poor season, and rumors that AEW is losing money.
Time to go lash out on Twitter while he probably cries into his pile of coke.

Garcia is about .500 in his AEW career and has recentish wins over Brody King and Ricky Starks. He's also only 28 and has proven to be a tremendous worker who can put on great matches. Not really a good comparison to a career jobber like Jinder, who hasn't had a single memorable match in his career.
Tony still shouldn't be going after wrestlers on twitter. Opposing management is one thing, but this is the type of thing that pisses off the workers in your own locker room.

Tony should be hiring a social media team, and quotes Tony only when appropriate.
If AEW was a public company the board would have muzzled his ass a long time ago.

Jinder is a jobber...but the guy did have a 6 month WWE title reign (followed by a US title reign) which actually was surprisingly not as terrible as many would have thought originally.
And really the whole logical booking discussion is a bit nonsensical anyways. Tony as the booker makes the decision, and has had his own random title matches too.
Like does booking Trent Beretta to win a random 4 way match to get a title shot for the new title when he wasn't even in the tournament really any better than giving Mahal a title shot.
I guess if they just made Mahal win a 4 man match on Raw that would have fixed all the problems with booking.

He's just not a professional, I mean we can laugh about that when it comes to the Wrestling business, but his lash outs, and the feeling that things behind the scenes are just kind of out of control are reflections on Tony.

Disagree. That title reign was awful. The punjabi prison match with Orton, jobbing Nakamura to him, all of his matches basically ending the same way. It was bad.

Yeah, Jinder's reign was forgettable. That said, his character is better as a big presence in a smaller pond. Competing for the US championship, the NXT North American title, that sort of thing.
Jinder knows his place, and he's extremely humble about it (this was captured in a WWE Network doc a few years ago). He knows where he sits in the card and his utilitarian role.
Part of me thinks Jinder got his WWE title reign because they needed a placeholder and he had paid his dues, with unwavering loyalty to the company and with the respect of his peers. He is a company man through and through and extremely dedicated to the craft.

Well, now he's about to. Whether the match is good or bad we are all going to remember this match and the lead up to it.

Tony shouldn't be going after anyone on twitter. It's has resonated negatively on him and taken away from any and all good that comes out of AEW for the next two weeks as all anyone talks about is his cocaine fueled melt down.

IIRC correctly, it was two fold. First they rewarded him because he busted his ass coming back to the WWE and he got serious about the business.
Second the WWE was in the midst of a huge push into India and they thought putting the belt on Jinder would really help with that.
By all accounts he's pretty respected back stage, but yeah, he's not more then a midcarder who's had some high moments.
And how can you not love the nephew of the Great Gamma. Come on now.

Sting's last match ever is against... The Bucks... wtf? Guess they probably demanded that, or else they'd "walk" lol.
No one cares about The Bucks, Tony! You'd be better off letting them sit at home and collect paycheques.
I see they grew little mustachios as well... how cute!

As a tag match I'm not really sure who the right fit would be...AEW tag division is a bit of a mess right now.
Should have really been a singles match for his last match though IMO

Sting didn't want to do a singles match for his retirement. It's also safer for him to tag (this is an industry standard for older vets) and allows a longer match length.
Remember his last WWE singles match with Seth Rollins? Yeah . . . .

The best tag matches in AEW have generally included the Bucks. Bucks vs. Omega/Hangman, Bucks vs. FTR(x3), Bucks vs. Lucha Bros, Bucks vs. Santana & Ortiz, etc.
I get why people don't like them as EVPs, but outside of FTR (who aren't a heel team), not sure what other tag team in AEW you'd want against them.
EDIT: As Ozy said, Sting has been adamant about not doing singles matches on this run.

That it is a tag match is perfectly fine and understandable. I also suspect he picked the Bucks to give them the rub for helping start this whole damn thing.
That said, I agree "#### me, anyone but the Bucks please"

I kind of get he didn't want to do a singles run...but I do truly feel like this thing should have ended with Sting vs Darby with Darby going over in Sting's last match.
I get he probably doesn't think he has the stamina to work a singles match but there are ways to protect him there too.
And physically it's not like he's been protecting himself. He's done more stupid spots in the last 18 months than his whole career prior to this.

I think it should have been FTR, or the Hardy's (even though they're watered down), or why not The Kingdom since they're "pushing them". What a lameduck reveal that ended up being. We find out who that Cole is the devil, then nothing really happens... Crippled Adam Cole just talks, they have zero heat, and then Wardlow looks like he's given up. Like George Costanza before him he's now walking around wearing sweats pants. His aim was to win the title and give it to cripple Cole??? Really... that's how you're booking him? Also everyone they attacked in the past few months just sits in the back, and ramble on. They don't want any revenge for being taken out multiple times?
The booking in AEW is embarrassing. They put on such great matches, but the booking is among the worst I've ever seen. Is everyone too afraid to mention this to Tony? Take####a is also being jobbed out now, which is a shame, as I think he could be a star if they pushed him right.

You think a broken down, old Hardys team is going to put on a good match with Sting at this point in their careers? And, as noted, FTR are not gonna get jeered in that match. The Kingdom don't have the cred/status to make that meaningful. That's a Rampage/Collision match at best.
The Bucks are really the only established tag team that makes sense at this point. They have the credibility and will be able to generate massive heat going into that match. We also know from history that The Bucks tend to put on great tag matches at PPVs. I can't think of a single PPV tag match that they were in that failed to entertain.

What are you talking about? He's taken a couple of pins in tag matches to protect Hobbs, but he literally just beat Darby clean two weeks ago, has won about 68% of his matches since joining AEW, and has pinned Omega.
There's lots to bitch about with AEW's bookings, but you've focused on the some of the only examples that don't fit in with the rest of complaints.
