Oooooh that was pretty. Great run and feed from Laryea to find Eustaquio who finished it beautifully.

This pitch is terrible, I’ve played on better in CSSC.

Yep gonna show that to my youth teams I coach. Perfect example of how to get involved as a wingback.

Torrential rain last night that’s why. Otherwise it looks like it would be good.

Jamaica getting gassed on their own turf. Their lack of subs was head scratching.

I was reasonably impressed with Biello’s game management. He got the team to settle down and refocus during the last hydration break and his subs were pretty good. Kaye coming in allowed Eustaquio to push a bit more forward, Hoilett looked decent and Oso showed his experience at the end
Big win and now to finish the job in Toronto

My face is a bum!

They did great fighting off that slow (and fortunate) start. Bailey should have had a couple.
Really impressed by the subs and the ability to change things up and regain the momentum at the end.
After the team seemed to be in minor shambles after the WC and Herdman's departure, this is feeling more like the last qualifying cycle again.
No excuses to not wrap this up at BMO.

It wasn't pretty, but that's exactly what the Canada of the past (before the last cycle) couldn't do: win those typical Concacaf matches. Delays, bad weather, awkward travel, questionable officiating, etc. are par for the course. You don't win pretty in Concacaf, but at least now we can win ugly. Just don't choke in Toronto.

Pitch looked pretty good considering how it was 12h earlier. If that was a grass surface here it would be a day or longer.
Should've been 2 at the end of the first.
As for Jamaica goal, it wasn't like it was played quick after it needed a whistle. Doesn't look like Jamaica asked for yards because it wasn't shooting range, so they could play at their will, and did. Shambolic awareness and basic structure for that direct pass to cut right through the middle.
But, a draw or 1-0 loss gets them to Copa America, crucial tournament for development in this country for 2026 and beyond by playing legit nations without having to worry about the bank accounts.

The way Canada reacted makes me think she must have told them it would be on the whistle. They’re professional footballers. They’re not reacting like that if she didn’t announce it would be on the whistle. They would have known they f’d up.

Appears to be a 442 again for Canada. Johnston in for Adekugbe, Cornelius in for Vittoria. Laryea will presumably shift to the left side. No Antonio for Jamaica.
