People who let their cats roam around the neighbourhood.

My 3 year old son's bedroom window is at ground level, and the bug screen is broken. We had it open a few inches last night to air out the room (wet the bed) and I wake up at 4am to the sound of him SCREAMING to discover that some cat had jumped into his bedroom and scratched his face. Not sure if the aggression was simply a reaction to my son being startled. Unfortunately it jumped back out the window when it saw me so I couldn't see if it had tags or not.

I love all animals, cats included. But people, control your damn pets.

Should never be an issue. Fact of the matter is, it is illegal to let your cat out like this. Yet no one does anything about it. People who just open their door and let their cats roam should have the animal taken away. It's illegal folks.

Agreed. I don't even blame the animal that much, it was probably just curious and then when scared by a startled toddler, thought it needed to defend itself. Blame would 100% be on the boneheads that don't control their pets.

I'd be more willing to let it go as a possible runaway or something, but the amount of cats that roam this neighbourhood is absurd.

I used to let my cat out to roam. But he was all tagged up, super friendly, and didn't even have front claws (declawed by previous owner), so I didn't feel bad about it. By the time he was older he wouldn't even leave the yard, just wanted to go sit outside.

Another thing I'd be concerned about would be running one over. I know a few people that have run over cats because they were taking a snooze under the shade of the tire of a parked car. And I see cats laying under vehicles all the time

Southcentre security has video trained on where I was parked and they are looking at the video. I hope they find the person so I can get CPS involved.
I have has this happen, and it makes me wonder what gets into peoples heads. Seeing as that you are driving an Audi, it is probably some a-hole driving an 89 Caravan that is just envious.

Call Renu paint repair, they are magicians, and will be able to fix that for under $500. Ask for Alan or Ashley, they are awesome guys.

For under $500? Do they hire slaves?

That seems awfully cheap.

Any store that advertises sales such as:

You don't pay a penny for tax!
Save tax, exclusively this weekend!
Save double the tax!

...so you mean save 5% and 10%? (in AB)

But, normally someone would pay 105% of the item price.

During a no tax sale someone would pay 100%.

On a 5% sale they would pay 99.75%.

That's a whole quarter saved by the store for every 100 dollars sold!

A speed limit of 60 on Bow Trail.

There is never any pedestrians you have to worry about from Westbrook right until Metro Ford. I've driven that road every day for seven years. The only thing I once saw jaywalking across that road was a deer, and that was at 3 AM. What the hell are we going so slow for?

This is major thoroughfare in Calgary and we're barely going faster than the wind. Wait, barely faster than an average fart.

I'm pretty sure this is intentional just to catch people speeding, because some department needs to meet their quotas. Speed limits like that really are unreasonable and over protective.

It's a much bigger deal in provinces that charge PST and GST. When we have a "save double the tax", Manitoba is getting a "No PST or GST" sale.

Having worked in retail, "no tax" has a much bigger impact than 5% off.

Well my mom just bought me a bible and told me that i have to go to church or else she's kicking me out of the house. It's come to the point where i think i have to yell at her that pushing religion on people is wrong.

It's always wrong for someone to push / force thier religious beliefs on you, even if it's your Mother.
I'd pack my bags and see if her threat is "real". If it is, then you're better off being away from that "loving" religious home.

Now, unless you're worshipping satan and killing small animals, maybe the church or a psychologist can lend a hand.

So you have a choice to spend 1hr in church or say spend 700 a month on rent with room mate. At 4 hrs a month that is $175 per hr. a pretty sweet wage if your only issue is going to church. If going to church is also associated with curfews and other stupid rules get out.

I'm also positive there'd be plenty of girls to meet at church. Church girls love guys who go to church.

Win-win? I think so.

They way "replacements" and "extended warranties" are all tied together now in the tablet world - cracked screens in particular.

Devices can't be fixed but are "replaced" with a refurb for 75% of the cost. Close enough you question if you just want to get a "new" model.

Warranties are sufficiently limited that the only way to get them to cover anything is to buy an "extended warranty". Typically about 30% of the cost.

So really it's a big racket for consumer electronics manufacturers to profit on misfortune.
