I can't see it, you don't make that kind of commitment as a simple bluff to goad an opponent.
Continuation of the dynasty is the plan.

Clinton has been the establishment choice from day one. The super delegates have been her pocket since day one. Fair comment with respect to the votes.
Do you think she is more electable vs. Trump than Sanders? I personally don't.

The race hasn't been close since Super Tuesday. This whole narrative of Bernie getting screwed out of the nomination is false. He was never close. He was closer than anyone predicted he would get but the race was never close.
On electability, yes Hillary is way more electable than Bernie. The poll stating 40% of democratic primary voters wouldn't vote for Hillary is one in the midst of a heated fight, (these numbers always drop after the primary is over), was a poll of primary voters as opposed to democrats (only 16% of democrats which is not a historically high number) and was the outlier of several polls.
Note that as far as I can tell no one has asked the question of Hillary voters if they would vote for Bernie.
So Bernie gets the northern white vote and the young white vote. Both of those groups are democratic strong holds. His platform does not play to other groups like minorities (even though it probably should). Bernie would be turned into a communist and handily defeated.

Bernie voters who say they won't vote for Hillary are basically a bunch of petulant whiny children. The two agree on nearly everything of substance.

I think it's pretty reasonable that someone would want to vote for Sanders and not vote for Clinton and as a result won't vote.
I think it's unreasonable that someone would want to vote for Sanders, but would vote for Trump over Clinton

I don't think Sanders has been screwed over and my bad posting if I gave that impression. I do think that the Democratic party would have been better served if the establishment had backed Sanders though.
I personally think that Clinton's unlikability and trust issues, plus Trump's strategy to dominate the news cycle will have the Democrats on the defensive. Trump might even win.
I think that Clinton's choice of VP will be extremely important and I'm sure they have some very bright people trying to figure that out.

The system is rigged? Fox is running the Democrats? The people at the top have no clue what the people want? I'm confused here....

Nothing confirmed....doesn't even have condolences for the victims. I'm sure he won't be an over the top reactionary President...

That's exactly what I thought. It doesn't make any sense.
But! It does make sense if you think of it from the "kick all them Muslims out" angle. That's tough, smart, and vigilant in some people's eyes. Like, the eyes of people who support Donald Trump.

China's ongoing dredging, increase in American patrols in South China Sea, everyone talking tough.

China is doing a ton of saber rattling in that region, and they're really working on setting up defensive depth, but I think in the case of an actual match up with the States it would probably go badly for them.
The center piece of the navy is a Kuznetsov Carrier which is really woefully outclassed by the American Carriers
They have 8 Nuclear Submarines 5 of which are the antiquated Hans and 1 of which is an antique Xia Class. They have one modern boomer and 1 modern SSN.
They have a ton of Diesel Electric boats
They have a lot of destroyers and frigates and their air power would be something to deal with, but they've really been working on building up their amphibious assault assets for the inevitable liberation of their way word rebellious province.
If the Chinese decided to interdict shipping or resources outside of their legally claimed water their navy would probably have a short and exciting life.

Badly for sure. China would get dummied in an actual conflict.
All those infantry and tanks aren't going to matter a whole lot in a war against the US.

Their whole thing now is theatre denial to keep the Americans hundreds of miles offshore. Long-range SSM's I think are their main hope (and also the main weapon against the wayward province).

I don't know if you could limit a conflict with China to the South China Sea. To me it would look much like a war and that could go south easily. China is gambling that the USA hasn't the stomach for that possibility.
