I thought you were going to say he was on the phone with Katz to bring in Glenn Anderson to be a coach.

It's just been bad GM after bad GM there. When you look at the list of guys they have traded or cast off and picks they've dealt for plugs, it is honestly insane. Heartwarming.

You have genuine top tier supporting cast players all around the league like Ryan McLeod, Broberg, Holloway and Kesslering, players like O'Reilly, Schaefer and Borgault they drafted all knocking on the door elsewhere and guys like Molendyk, Hutson and Brzustwicz drafted with their picks. All to assemble a team that is barely in the playoffs right now.

I hope they trade some more high end picks soon.

He makes $6 million.
He has a 10 team no trade clause.
His value is high now due to the Olympics.

How are the Oilers going to land him? After seeing what has happened to Jarry upon arriving in Edmonton, and how well things have gone for Skinner after leaving, why would he want to go to Edmonton?

Jarry has two more years left on his deal so I'm not clear how they can bring in another goaltender given their cap situation.

You know the Oilers just could have saved themselves all the negative backlash of hiring a disgraced GM with baggage and re-hired Chiarelli if their goal was to hire one of the worst GM's possible. The Frederick contract, Mangiapane contract, Jarry trade. Woof!

Isn't McDavid the GM of the Oilers?

That extension gets dumber and dumber by the day. We all saw it.

Connor should have just waited until this season to be over to make a decision. His decision 100% would've been different.

Who would have thought that moving laterally for a more expensive goalie, but also needing to give one of your dependable Dmen to make it work cap wise, would not work.

Now the Oilers are in the market for a defenseman. Maybe they could trade a first for Kulak?

Miromanov would certainly fit the bill for a puck-moving defenseman.

Just looking at their March schedule, that is no cake walk. They could be in serious trouble.

On the winning goal there was 2 Ducks and 4 Oilers skaters around the Oilers net. Somehow neither Duck was covered. The 5th Oiler was challenging the 3rd Duck (Carlsson) who made the pass. Gauthier scored on his 2nd attempt and probably would have had time to take a 3rd wack at the puck if a save was made - noted that Gauthier's 1st attempt was a fan on the one-timer so the goalie made no saves off of Gauthier on that play.
