I've watched Black Adam, Suicide Squad, and Batman Vs Superman on a plane, so I've got a pretty good handle on this particular genre.

I watched Morbius on a plane and was actually relieved when they cut the wifi and I missed the last 20 minutes.

It took until the very last movie but for the first time I left the theater of a DCEU film extremely disappointed. The film reeks of studio interference, I'm sure there is a great film somewhere from what was shot, but this ain't it. The CGI is horrible, at times it looked like a PS2 cut scene, there are so many different storylines with none of them fleshed out fully, and all the action has no weight behind it. This feels like Attack of the Clones, just a complete misfire. James Waan did the best he could but he was no match for the greatest villain in DC Comics.....Warner Brothers. I have to see it again to see if my opinion changes but it's my least favorite DCEU film, I even honestly prefer Superman IV the Quest for Peace over this.
I recently did my annual Christmas watch of Batman Returns and the care and attention Burton brought to that film compared to this film by committee is very noticeable.

If Nadal Fan hates it, it's either the worst or the best superhero movie ever made! Probably the worst.

After that Nadal review I kind of have to see it now. Maybe I'll book a flight in April.

I'm legit curious what could be do bad about this movie. I live NF's enthusiasm and he has a framed Batman and Robin poster in his man cave.

The biggest sin this movie committed is being soulless. This clearly wasn't the film Waan had intended but WB hacked it up and rushed to put it out. They filmed 3 different endings including one with Ben Affleck and another one with Keaton. No Batman make it into the final version of the film but oddly enough there is a mention of Loki.

Good God man! If you're travelling without a parachute how are you still alive?
If someone offered me that Murderer's Row of films?
"Parachute or no parachute...I am leaving."

They are good airplane movies. Every time a meaningless CGI action sequence clicks in, I drift off to sleep for a quick nap, and can jump right back in.

Being stuck in a death tube 7 miles up gives movies on a plane a 20% enjoyment bonus.

God, that one pissed me off. The Birds of Prey team had so much potential, so they shoehorn Harley in and make it a movie about her. What a waste of the Birds.

I ended up seeing Birds of Prey in the theaters. They used some bizarre system where they projected film onto the side walls to make it more "immersive". All it did was light up the who theatre and destroy the whole experience. There's no way to watch the side theater walls and the screen.
It felt like watching it at home. It also encouraged the other people in the theatre to start talking, as though they were sitting at home.
I'm still haven't settled down from how crappy this experience was enough to watch this movie again....but that may be a good thing as it stinks.

They were so off the mark with any of the other characters in the movie. The costume design was lazy and cheap. Without Quinn it becomes a WB TV Show quality endevour.

Exactly. There is so much they could have done, if they'd put any effort in. I'd have loved to see a good Batgirl/Huntress/Black Canary version. Instead...nope...put HQ in there, 'cause she's popular right now and forget anything else. So disappointed.

I saw Avatar 2 with this technology and thought it was incredible. Not all parts of the movie were projected this way, maybe a third of it. For me it was like the opposite of watching it at home.

I accidently picked this (It's called ScreenX at Cineplex) when I went to watch Bad Boys For Life.
It was such a bad tech/design that I swore I'd never again see a movie with it. Almost all of the movie was projected across the theatre and the 2 walls, making it nearly impossible to figure out where to watch. The side projectors were clearly visible in both pictures, making it harder to look at. I thought that it MIGHT be an interesting idea, but the execution has a LONG way to go before it's watchable.

I've never heard of this. Is it a projection of a side view of the scene, or copies of the movie? The former could work, if the movie was filmed with that intent. It kind of reminds me of that old Xbox "go big" commercial that never got released.

The Aquaman franchise is just flatlining, floating through the dreary depths like the kind of discarded plastic bag which is going to choke the last remaining vaquita porpoise.

To me, it's a concept that doesn't work well in execution.
This is an image of the concept, how it's supposed to work:
This is an image of how it works in actual practice:
It's an "extra extra extra wide screen" sort of experience. If you are sitting in the middle or front, I have no idea how you are supposed to see the entire screen on the side without turning your head. When I went, I was sitting in the very last row, and still struggled to see all 3 screens at once, missing stuff that was on the screen(s) I wasn't able to look at.
Additionally, this seems to be really heavily dependent on the theatre showing. Most theatre walls aren't meant to be screens, so have 'stuff' on them. Lights, projectors, emergency exit signs, etc. So those all show through in the picture, making a big mess of it.
In addition, it sounds like various movies only use bits and pieces for it. The other poster said only about 1/3 of Avatar 2 used this tech. Well, almost all of Bad Boys did. So when the wall screens are in use isn't always consistent, either.
I suppose, in a purpose-built theatre with a movie filmed for it, this concept may work. But I really didn't like it.
