Nichuskin isn't coming over right away... or so I thought at least.
Nope. After looking into it, he apparently wants to come over but only for the NHL and won't play in the AHL. Only because he was traded last year in the KHL and has sour grapes about it. Sounds self entitled

Don't think the Flames will touch him given how poorly he supposedly interviewed. The interview process seems to be extremely important Wiesbrod. Character is important to the Flames and by most accounts this kid doesn't have much at the present time.

Given the concerns over Nichuskin and what I see as a bit of a project in Nurse, I don't see why the Flames wouldn't pick Lindholm and run to the podium. The guy is an excellent prospect.

He's not the sexy name to Flames fans but I think we would be lucky to have him a Flames as he looks like he's going to be a player and a good one. I just hope the Flames aren't narrow minded enough to overlook him because he won't be here next year. That would be foolish.

Sounds like Cammy's perhaps asked to get out of town (per Millions). Does he become a component of a deal on draft day?

I'm still thinking the Flames try to work out a deal with Edmonton or Carolina for their pick. Then grab one of Monahan/Lindholm and also take Nichuskin. The Flames have historically taken the safe pick and we have seen how that has worked out for them. Look at some of our picks over the last few years including Baertschi, Gaudreau, and Jankowski. They were much riskier picks with much higher potential ceilings, picks that traditionally the Flames have shied away from. I'd be okay with the Flames taking Nichuskin.

I would love for the Flames to take Nichushkin at 6 regardless of the Russian stigma. He would be BPA by a mile.

If they could work both maybe, but no way Nichuskin on his own. Feaster knows full well his tenure with the Flames would be over if they couldn't get this guy to play with all the amazing talent that's in this draft.

Nichuskin is either here now or will be very soon, moving to NY to work with a new trainer, if he gets an NHL job he stays,if not back to the KHL for gravy.
I would do the same and I'm not Russian

Not sure what you mean by that. What new questions are raised with that piece?

That piece was from before the Combine, it's entitled "Nichushkin looking to answer doubters at Combine"
By all reports, he had sort of a disastrous Combine, thus creating more questions.

He was looking to answer doubters at the combine and flopped as some senior scouts said he was the worst interview they had ever seen and he performed poorly in the physical testing. If anything the combine raised more doubt regarding him.

Maybe, but it seems weird. Weisbrod loves the interview process, so i can't see why he would not interview him, unless they dont want him.
