According to the current FBI investigation int Trumps connections with Russia, Russian bank Alfa looked up the private Trump corporate server over 2820 times accounting for 80% of its international traffic. 19% of the time the Russians connected to a medical facility chain run by Dickson Devos, Betsy Devos husband.
I can already see Spicer spinning this. Pure coincidental, nothing to see here.
Quote:
Federal investigators and computer scientists continue to examine whether there was a computer server connection between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank, sources close to the investigation tell CNN.
Questions about the possible connection were widely dismissed four months ago. But the FBI's investigation remains open, the sources said, and is in the hands of the FBI's counterintelligence team -- the same one looking into Russia's suspected interference in the 2016 election.
One U.S. official said investigators find the server relationship "odd" and are not ignoring it. But the official said there is still more work for the FBI to do. Investigators have not yet determined whether a connection would be significant.
How does impeachment work? It feels like this guy has met the criteria a few times over. Who can actually initiate this process and what does it take to make happen?
And can both President and VP be impeached at once? (only half serious)

Good timing, this just got released from Vox on the subject:

The whole idea is so goddamn absurd, and always has been.
I know they aren't stupid because we can't say they are stupid, so the people that bought into this nonsense must have all been drunk at the same time. Quite a bender!
Blah. I'm out hiking in the middle of nowhere just trying to get away from it all. Unfortunately ran into a group of loud Trump supporters talking about how the Dems lost and need to get over it; 911 happened because Clinton was getting it on with Monica- it never ends.

They interviewed a hardcore Trump supporter on CBC earlier, and I couldn't believe some of the nonsense coming out of this woman's mouth. Major props to the reporter for keeping a straight face through the entire thing.

Sorry, can't seem to find it. CBC doesn't have it posted as far as I can tell. They were talking about the Trumpcare bill, and the woman didn't seem to have a clue. I found it amusing.
Trump through AG Sessions demands the simultaneous resignation of 46 DOJ attorneys including firing the one that have jurisdiction over Trump tower in NY. This move really prevents a coherent prosecution of anything the Trump-Russia related and is unprecedented. Last time a president tried to remove just 7 attorneys it turned into a mini scandal.

A former FBI agent who requested anonymity to freely discuss the matter called Bharara's firing "crazy," saying he is a "rock star" in the law enforcement community.
The high-profile US attorney had been told after a meeting with Trump in November that he would stay on and felt blindsided by the move, sources told CNN.
Quote:
In a statement Saturday, Sen. Chuck Schumer said he was "troubled" to learn of the Trump administration's request for Bharara's and other US attorneys' resignations, adding that the President initiated a call to him in November "and assured me he wanted Mr. Bharara to continue to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District.
"While it's true that presidents from both parties made their own choices for U.S. attorney positions across the country, they have always done so in an orderly fashion that doesn't put ongoing investigations at risk," the New York Democrat said. "They ask for letters of resignation, but the attorneys are allowed to stay on the job until their successor is confirmed."
By asking for the immediate resignations of the remaining US attorneys before their replacements have been confirmed, "the President is interrupting ongoing cases and investigations and hindering the administration of justice," Schumer said.
^^^^ This officially takes him past Nixon on the facism scale. Next up Joe Macarthy
Yes and no.
Usually, as political appointees, every ag will be replaced upon a new party president. Usually there is a transition of a few months for the turnover, but Janet Reno did the same thing more or less as I understand it while Clinton was president.
