I was referring to the fact that it seemed as though some people were playing it right now and then posting about it immediately.

Finally I figured out how to do a cross crease, I kept doing the weak passes and it kept getting intercepted, usually if you do a hard pass (without getting hit first) all the D will miss it and your guy will get it.
Can't wait for the full game so I can start my HUT.

I've been playing a bit today. I think overall I am happy with it. The pace of the games seem slow but that might be a slider thing, not sure cause I only play EASHL. I'm glad they have position lock in the demo, helps me get some proper practice in for the upcoming season.

One thing I noticed, and maybe it's just me, but faster players actually seem to be significantly faster than others. They can actually win a foot race, which is what should happen. I don't think that has been emphasized enough in the past.

Just played the demo... I think by far the controls are so much better than NHL 10 even though it might of not been a significant change. Also the passing mechanics I love a lot... makes those 1st timers a bit more difficult.

I'm boycotting the demo because of this ultimate team thing.

That's just silly. Don't play it if you don't like it.

care to explain?
I was reluctant myself (more into beagm) but this mode does seem intriguing.

Too bad, considering ultimate team is probably going to to be the best mode in the game this year.

I love how you take control of a player as soon as a pass is sent this year. It's so easy to get players open.

But it's a completely optional mode. The demo still has a regular team game you can try.

so is Boedker (although I can't remember if I had boosted his speed or not with some cards).
I can't wait for the full on release. It officially kicks off hockey season in my eyes with training camp opening right around the same time too.

It will take a bit for me to get used to that. I keep missing passes as i'm used to them going to the guy because i'm controlling him and missing it.
I suck.

I skipped NHL10 so the game feels quite different for me. The pace is siginificantly slower, but I like it. Seems like you can play more strategically that way, its a better pace for creating plays.
Once criticism I have of the game is that goalies haven't really changed much. They still all seem to play the same and do the same saves. The game could me made infinitely better if goalies all played to their individual styles and they varied the animations the goalies used. That would create even more goal scoring variety.
All in all though, I look forward to it. Picked up xbox live again just so I could play online this year.
