I agree. Trent Green is not the future for any team (he's a hit away from being a vegetable) and there's no time like the present to let Beck at least try to run things. The problem: how good of a look will he actually be able to give with that team?

I think, regardless of his performance, the Dolphins cannot use a first or second pick draft on a QB in back to back years. There's just too many other holes and you need to give Beck a couple years to prove, or disprove himself.

As for drafting a RB... I dont know if you go with McFadden. The increased use of tandem-systems and the life of a RB makes a #1 overall pick a risk. If a stud OT emerges, you start with a hog and build around that... that helps protect Beck and open a running game. Oakland tried to do it with Gallery... and that was a bust... so... it's not that easy.

Was there cartilage damage? I hear thats the key in this injury, because if the rehab is done right when there is no cartilage the knee could be even stronger.

Only when they do surgery will they see how much damage was done.

I believe Gore's was. The Rams and Dolphins are going to have some interesting decisions to make if they finish with high draft picks. They both have glaring holes on both sides of the of the ball but most of the holes could be filled with mid to late round picks.

Haha yeah true enough. Thats why I havent gotten a Bush jersey. Its become the new Vick jersey, ie the jersey that even if someone knows **** all about the NFL they still buy the jersey. Because if I ever got accused of being a bandwagon fan I think I'd snap on em. They have no idea the horrors Ive been through!

Colts looked impressive tonight. Garrard got hurt early, but they were ineffective when he was in the game.

Indy usually struggles against the Jags, but it was pretty dominant from start to finish.

A side note - Kenton Keith (formally of the Roughriders) has sure found a home in Indy. Even with Addai healthy, he's getting plenty of touches and another TD tonight.

Yeah, I thought Jacksonville was the AFC's third best team and Indy just ran roughshot over them tonight. I don't think theres any question that the NFL might as well be a two team league this year. That Colts and Patriots game later this year will give us a good guage for how close these two teams are. Right now it's obvious to me that no one else in the NFL is even close to these two.

Yup! I was very impressed with my team tonight! Going into Jacksonville against a very good Jags team and playing that well defensively against them was amazing to watch! Reggie Wayne had a big game tonight and Addai/Keith are doing a good job rushing the ball. Harrison will come around after his injury and Peyton is Peyton, always gives us a chance to win! 6-0 now and next week @ Carolina! Then it's the huge matchup i've been waiting to see since the Colts schedule came out. Nov 4 vs Pats. Impressive win tonight boys! LETS GO COLTS!

All I gotta say is, I cannot WAIT for that Colts/Pats game in a couple weeks! This is clearly IMO the best Patriots team they're had since their dynasty began, no question. But after watching that Colts game, I'm pretty convinced this is the best Colts team since Manning came into the league as well. This is one of Jacksonville's better teams, who finally have an offence that can complement their D. And they got their asses handed to them by the Colts, at home. This is the same team that has given Manning and the Colts fits for years, and Indy beat em with ease. Considering how many players the Colts lost last season, I cant believe how strong their D looks. Bob Sanders is an absolute machine out there, that guy scares the crap out of me.

Could be the Superbowl comes down to Nov. 4th and who wins home field for the AFC Championship. Indy has an advantage in that the Nov. 4th game is in their stadium.

What I can't believe is that I lost my pool by less than 2 points. Had somebody told me to sit Reggie Wayne and start Kenton Keith instead, I would have told them to stuff it.

Stupid Riders players always coming back to bite me.

I only caught bits and pieces of last night's game, but wasn't Jax playing their 2nd string QB? Wouldn't that have made a bit of a difference?

They played their starter but he got injured so Gray came in.

Even when Garrard was in last night the Colts were dominating the Jaguars. A big statement game, especially from the defense last night. It looks like some people in the sporting world are finally giving the Colts the respect they deserve.

November 4th could turn out to be the most hyped regular season game of all time in the NFL. That's how head and shoulders these two teams are above the rest of the league. The Steelers took a big step back again this week.

Maybe, maybe not, though I agree they aren't in the class of the aforementioned super teams.

Pittsburgh is clearly the 3rd best team in the AFC though, and they are probably better than any team in the NFC too, or at least right there with them.

I'm not sure Denver's as bad as everyone thinks (I thought) they were. Pretty impressive win given they were missing their best player and their best receiver. I think they still have a shot at that division.

Well...any division thats currently being lead by the Chiefs is up for grabs. According to every NFL expert the Chiefs should be 0-7 right now. Yet somehow they're 4-3. I don't expect them to win the division but their defence and Jared Allen in particular deserves a bit of credit.

He's a stud.

Their coach also deserves a ton of credit. He's got them playing together and for each other. I like Herm a lot.

They're going to be in the mix.

Surprisingly my move to grab Larry Johnson in my fantasy league isnt looking so bad anymore. Thank God my constant attempts to trade him for Shaun Alexander practically the entire first month of the season were repeatedly rejected.

On a side note, I also have Travis Henry, what do you think I should do with him? I also have Bryan Westbrook so one of em's probably expendable, now that all three have already had their bye weeks. And I need WR's bad so I'm considering using Henry as trade bait. When do you think his looming suspension would kick in? I just have a feeling his stock is going to start dropping pretty quickly and its the highest its going to be right now. Or am I OTL and he's going to be a huge part of the offence the rest of the year?

Well I will put a plug in still for my Cowboys. Yes they did indeed fall short against the Patriots but don't forget they held the lead in that game and that the offense was solid enough to win. To me the fate of the Cowboys rests more on some improvement defensively and help is on the way. Greg Ellis has been back for a few games and been great in a part time role. He will get nothing but better and be a bigger factor. They you add Tank and the Dallas pass rush which has been improving could certainly help out the defense. That lack of a pass rush has hurt them a lot.

So yeah as it stands Cowboys don't deserve a mention but they rate for a couple of reasons. One they have a good chance of getting to that Superbowl game and two they are a team that has the potential to get better(heck look how few games Romo for instance has actually played)!!!

Well if the Pats and Colts don't exist...than yeah Dallas is a team that gets a lot of consideration for the NFL's best team. I think they're the class of the NFC and that the NFC isn't that far behind the AFC if you took out New England and Indy. I think the Boys will be in the superbowl, so they'll get their chance than to prove what you say John.
