Wouldn’t have been a bad idea for a guy like Giminez to try a bunt. Get some traffic and see if that throws off Yamamoto.
Well, Glasnow is not as good as either of these first two Dodgers pitchers. He can be and is very good but also has a higher likelihood than the first two, that he can stink.

Jays just weren't able to play their game today and chase out the starter like they needed to. Yamamoto was darn near unhittable tonight, for anyone that's played at a higher level, I can tell you his speed variation and movement made it EXTREMELY difficult to make contact at the plate.

Tonight may not be their night, but this team has shown us all year that they can bounce back from anything.

In hindsight they lose that game in the first inning.
1st and 3rd with no outs and you have Vlad, Kirk, and Varsho coming up...and you come up with a goose egg.
You put up a crooked number there and all of a sudden Yamamoto is nervous and no way he's in line for a complete game right now.

This umpire is completely inconsistent as to what he calls strikes. For both teams. He just isn't good tonight.

Not much you can do when a guy pitches a gem like that. This is why good pitching always beats good hitting. Yamamoto was unreal tonight, and it's not like they didn't play a good game. A missed opportunity in the first, but that's all you can really point to. Just elite pitching and bad luck for the Jays tonight.

I believe in the Jays.

So just the two more aces to get through now?

The dangerous thing about losing this one is that if the Dodgers win 2 of 3 at home, they go back to Yamamoto in game 6 and it could be lights out.

I don’t think he would be nervous and I don’t think it would’ve affected Roberts decision to let him pitch a complete game. Nor do I think he would have been any less solid for the final eight innings.
I mean maybe in some scenario where we put up a five spot but if we go up 2-1 I don’t think it has any major effect on the game.

I think we will show up well against Glasnow. He's a guy who doesn't always have great command and doesn't go very deep into games. Ohtani is great but also doesn't go deep into games. We can get into their bullpen.

It's a shame that for all the great games Gausman has pitched this post season, he doesn't get the run support.

Fox is once again showing who they would prefer to win on Twitter.
Blue Jays win and it's a regular graphic of the score. Dodgers win and it's a graphic of Ohtani putting a Blue Jays hat on homeplate even though he wasn't really a factor tonight. They did the same thing in the series against Seattle with the Thanksgiving theme and crying bluejays after game 2.

The odd part is that it's a better story if the Jays win. And the majority of their watching audience probably also wants the Dodgers to lose.

If he's pitching in two more games, it's likely because one of those is a must win for the Dodgers. So if the Jays can force the Dodgers to a must win game....I don't think that's scary.
