Also a few posts up - I have maintained that with Klapka's reach and skating, he could be really good on the PK, and should get reps there.

I wish Ruzicka hadn't been such a bonehead, I think we'd be using him here still.

We lost him to waivers to Arizona a couple weeks before the incident

Feel like Honzo would have made this roster if he was healthy.

Ugh...beat me to it. Which is pretty par for the course for SureLoss...but...*slow clap* nicely done.

Ah 1993...what a time to be alive!

"I fix! I fix!"

I can picture the man...and I can hear the whole thing in my mind.

I know this isn't the right thread...

...but what a waste of an opportunity Calgary had here. Calgary could easily keep the Saddledome up for 'x' amount of time in order to host something big. Yes, the Olympics is the obvious miss here (and the new arena would of course already have been built by now), but Calgary - NOT Edmomton/Red Deer - should have gotten the World Juniors. The entire tournament could have been hosted in one place, instead of having to travel so far between games. They should really look at hosting something - maybe a World Championships? - and take advantage of having two overlapping arenas.

Yes, I know that the Saddledome is to be demolished as part of the deal, but my argument is that for 'x' amount of time, Calgary could have taken advantage and hosted something that could have used a two-arena event. Just seems like a missed opportunity to me. Great way to say "goodbye" to the Saddledome, while saying "hello" to the new arena. AFAIK, Calgary won't take advantage of the situation. The new building will go up and the Dome will go down....

Imagine if they could’ve done the men and women’s Olympics between the new arena, saddledome, and even WinSport. Would’ve been amazing

All recent reports have been that things have been going swimmingly but it was just something lost in translation and it's actually a pool they have.

Just a guess but I'm thinking his habits was reflecting it his play, hard to say for sure but for some people it becomes more then just night time/ party thing. Could they have offered assistance or guidance and him simply refuse/ deny it was a problem?

Timing was just so strange too, just 3 days after Dubes leave and they obviously knew they were trading Lindholm (he was traded a week after Ruzicka was waived)

He had the size and tools just couldn't put it all together consistently (became more clear after the incident)
