Probably been said before in the thread...however counterintuitive it is for Ottawa....but Markstrom ++ for Tkachuk would be a dream, and accelerate things nicely for the Flames to have a high end character and skill player to legit build around without waiting for magic beans to hopefully sprout.

Someone mentioned the Flames are trying to trade into the 10-15 range. You have to think it’s 10 overall with retention.

So I reached out to someone I trust and from what I understand talks are heavy with both Ottawa and New Jersey but nothing is done yet. Hopefully Conroy can play them against eachother for one of them to overpay big time.

I’m not going to bother looking up the exact details but I believe the senators record this year when they get .900 or better goaltending is outstanding.
