Obviously I hope the Jays win. It’s still the Jays.

But it’s #### like this that actually makes me not want to be a fan of them. It’s not fun to watch, it’s not fun to watch a great player on top of his game be removed while cruising because a computer said it’s a good idea.

It takes all the romanticism out of the game. And for baseball, for me, that’s a huge part of my fandom

Honeslty saying it's "analytics" fault is giving Schneider a pass.

That was an idiotic decision that I'm sure even analytics wouldn't have supported if used correctly.

Stuff like that is almost just telling on yourself that you have no idea what the analytics are even telling you.

Analytics do say LH vs LH is better, and analytics do say that third time through the lineup is more likely to get hit...

But I would almost guarantee that analytics don't say to take out your starting pitcher who hasn't been touched through 3 innings with 5 strike outs, to bring in another starting pitcher who isn't used to pitching out of the bullpen with a man on base.

It's not analytics fault at that point, it's that the guy running things has no idea how to actually use the analytics at his disposal.

It's more to do with people claiming the managers are just puppets who make decisions based on what they're told from upper management. If that's the case, they can go too.

But there's other reasons why I want them gone too.

Yeah, the way Berrios was pitching 9 shut-out innings between him and maybe Hicks/Romano was very much on the table. Even if they score zero through nine that gets you to extra innings.
