I'll be the first to admit I am humbly shocked that Maloney actually came across more well spoken, professional and real.
Bean on the other hand, oof... makes you miss Ken King and what he brought to this organization. Talk about aggressive tones and confusing/meaningless answers.

Sounds like the player exit interviews were more "in depth" than usual. Don is still processing.

People like to get worked up around here
Complain about all Brad's moves
Complain when he is gone

I think Conroy. He's clearly been trained for the role, would be a great face for the organization, is super positive, has a good hockey mind, has played the game, great with people
It's a no brainer

We’d have needed to fire Sutter last year to execute the rebuild…probably would have been a good call then and a much better call now.

One would almost think that people could identify more than one problem with the organization.

He's got a lot of processing to do all right. Trying to figure out how he can tell Edwards that firing Sutter would be the best course of action.

He wasn't prepared for the possible questions being asked. Decided to dance around them and try not to look out of place, which he was.

The organization is not where it's at without too many people like Bean with their hands all over things. Classic "smartest guy in the room" vibes while talking about an NHL GM search like it is just a matter of coming up with some ideal candidate list and finding someone that can handle stress?
This team is so damaged it is going to take years to come out of this and that is even if they ever stop the Edward's meddling that is seemingly getting worse by the season.

I'm down for Conroy being GM. He's been learning the ropes for almost a decade now.
Would be curious on his take on the Flames, what he thinks is needed etc.

So they will overpay another similar aged center who is worse than Lindholm. None of the pending UFAs have the value to pull in a young top 6 center. Even if they rebuild which they won't, it'd be late firsts and decent prospects.

If we don't pick Connie I think we risk losing him.
