One thing to choke that away from home, to do it in front of the home fans must be so much worse. Backdoor title for Bayern is still a title though.

Dortmund have had many opportunities like that over the last decade and fail to win every time. Though this was their best chance to win the title, so many times they lose to relegation teams and that’s the difference at the end of the season. It’s who they are

Its their bread and butter.
This is the thing about being a 'foreign fan' and its something thats always interesting about Arsenal and Spurs fans.
I dont put a lot of emphasis on the Domestic League, sure the people that live there do, but I dont really live that emphasis.
Get into the Top 4, get into the CL, do well in Europe. Thats why this has been such a brutal season for Liverpool.
I'm not so fussed about winning the league, etc. but that CL miss is what hurts.

The Athletic reporting that Benzema is leaving and Sunday will be his final match.
Does Real target Mbappe or Kane to replace him? Or someone else?

Looks like Inter have signed on Paramount+ as a sponsor...for the game today and the CL Final, maybe only...no word of next year sponsoring.
What an odd situation. Should've passed the hat around here and had Calgarypuck sponsor Inter for one game...the CL Final watched by tens/hundreds of millions around the world.

I’ve seen Kane mentioned a lot. I can’t see it being hard to convince him at this point!

pretty much comes down to whether Kane wants to go abroad or if he's set on the PL goal record. If he's open to the move, then Benzema leaving Real is a gift for Levy ... selling him to Madrid is certainly a nice alternative to selling him to a PL rival or being stubborn enough to let him leave on a free next summer.

This summer, especially with the RM news, will show if Kane has any ambition. He is my favorite player of all-time and I wish he could stay at Spurs for his whole career, but with the way Levy runs the club there is no chance he can stay at the club and pretend he has any level of ambition at all.
It is pathetic that Levy has destroyed the club to a level that we need to hope for our best players to leave but that is the case. Kane should 100% leave for RM if possible. Titles, trophies, championships much more important than a PL goal scoring record that could easily be beat anytime after he breaks it.
Hell he can go to RM for 3 seasons and come back and break the record anyways. He needs and deserves to compete and win the top honors in football, I hope for his sake he takes the chance and goes to a club where he belongs rather than waste his career at our club.

I mean, if you're Kane and the PL goal-scoring record is your primary target...wouldnt you look over at City and Haaland and realize that even if you hit that record, it ain't gonna stand for long...

Dont think haaland is gonna stay long enough
Would basically need 8 more years like this one, no injuries, no unlucky runs, KDB providing 20 tap ins a year etc.

Yes it was the club that had the most FA Cups, a club that while not winning every year won trophies more often than a whopping 1 in 23 years. It was a club that didn't break records by not signing a player for 500+ days, breaking records by not hiring a manager for 70+ days. It was a club that didn't waste the career of the best English player of his generation by choosing to sack any competent DOF so that Levy could ensure that he was able to meddle in football transfers.
Levy had Kane and Son in their primes and his ego was too big to let football people make football decisions. He hired Jose and Conte and felt that bringing in Rodon, Royal and Spence was the way that the club would win with them in charge. If you can't recognize the gross incompetence that has been present for every minute that Daniel Levy has been in charge of this club I do not know what more to say, but hey we have a shiny new stadium that surely makes up for the complete lack of any success on the pitch. After all isn't cool stadiums and impressive balance sheets what football is all about?
