The steal is impossible with Mouat needing only to score a single for the win, the final showed that. Steals are much more likely when the team with hammer is trying to score their two, or more. Also agree that Jacobs’ last shot was likely not even there, too bad though, they had such a great week

In other news, Colleen Jones passed away at just 65.

Gushue vs Dunstone was a great game last night. Dunstone stayed undefeated with the extra end win.

Homan and Einarson have a showdown tomorrow, winner goes straight to the final.
With Dunstone losing to Koe, mens field is wide open tomorrow. Get out your calculators.

Tough to see Gushue go out like that. That was make able, Bottcher botched the line call.
McEwen vs Dunstone again tomorrow

Canada is sending its two best teams so probably the best outcome for the trials.
Still some great storylines from the week. Team Black will be a force to be reckoned with very soon. The heartbreak for Teams Dunstone and Mcewan continues. Neither can seem to step it up and win the big game.
Will be good opportunities at the Brier and Scotties this year with Jacob’s and Homan not participating.

It's crazy that three great skips, McEwen, Epping and Dunstone has never worn Canadian colors (Winning brier or trials).

Sturmay got in there too early and swept the opponents rock before it passed the t-line which made the Skrlik brusher burn the stone as she was impeded. Then there was an argument.

Found Sturmay's interview after the game unprofessional. Takes no accountability for her role in the mishap, denies the rock was touched despite multiple people saying it was plus the camera angles, and accuses Team Skrlik of trying to play mind games. I don't think she had ill intent when she started to sweep when Ashton stopped, but own it. I get that emotions are high in such a big game, but maybe it would have been better to say nothing at all until she had a chance to calm down or debrief with her team. I was cheering for both teams as a non-Albertan but now I hope she gets stomped.

Looks like the 3 teams for Pool B going through have been decided pending something incredulous happening in the last couple ends here.

Nova Scotia Stephens is the most fun team. Reached double digits in each of their 4 wins. It was similar in provincials too.
