Well the Packers just lost their #1 CB for a lengthy time, plus have 2 others out for a shorter time so I would expect them to take a hard run at him.
Quote:
The Packers don't just have injury issues, they have injury issues to several of their most important players with Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander the latest who is in danger of missing significant time.
The 2018 first-round pick left Sunday's 27-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers with an injury to his right shoulder, and the Packers (3-1) on Monday weren't ready to rule out the worst -- that Alexander could be lost indefinitely, if not for the season.

Combine that with other injuries to key defensive players, Im assuming that they will be heavy in on both him and Jaylon Smith.

I don't think there is a team in the league who doesn't want to strengthen their defensive backfield. Especially with that extra game this season.
It would be a mistake to think Gilmore is what he used to be, and you also have to consider the scheme that teams play vs what he is used to with New England. Gilmore was originally drafted by Buffalo, so maybe he ends up there, or he goes to Tampa who are already thin in the Secondary.

Hmmm, I mean obviously a very logical fit, but no one was willing to take a flier with a fifth rounder? Even as a pure rental for this season it's probably worth it for a bunch of teams.

Not the NFC South team I thought it'd be, but he's in the division I expected regardless

Sweet news though i was sure they would go after Gilmore as well.
But now its almost an all Smith LB core
Zadarius, Preston and Jaylon.

Brandon Staley trusts Herbert more then Pete Carroll trusts Russ. That's kind of a problem for Seattle.

Yup. Four straight runs up the middle for a turnover on downs... What an offense!

Worst part is after failing that 4th down you know Pete's turtling for the rest of the game from any risk.

To be fair kicking there is basically the same risk. You probably had the same chance of the kick being good.
... well, maybe not on that play call, I guess. What is the thinking? "I bet they won't think we're stupid enough to run it through the middle again!"

The bigger issue is not getting your mobile quarterback outside the pocket on 3rd or 4th and 2 and letting him make something happen. And they wonder why he wants out of there.

Totally agree.
... Also I reiterate my earlier question about whether Stafford is really that much better than Jared Goff.

These Seahawks jerseys are about as easy on the eyes as the sun.

Totally agree there. Stafford has always been a choke artist. Lions won that trade in a landslide. I don’t think either QB is taking any team to the promise land. But when you can basically wind up with a lateral trade at that position PLUS 2 first rounders, you come away laughing from that.

While Pete has a deserved reputation for being hyper conservative, McVay doesn't get enough hate for that too. I mean running on third and 10 from midfield when you have the weapons he does? Brutal. He often goes way too conservative. More Brandon Staley's, less Pete and McVay's.

What garbage play calling in this game. It's like watching Churchill vs Western, Calgary High school ball.
