There's a great name. Spencer Rattler.

Bears just reworked contracts on Eddie Jackson, Khalil Mack and Cody Whitehair to clear up 23 million in space.

Russell Wilson might actually happen

I get RB isnt a spot you want to spend to much on.

They couldnt afford to let him walk though. He is a unique talent and now will be there as long as Rogers.

Jones, 26, is one of only two players in NFL history to post 3,000-plus yards rushing (3,364) and 35-plus rushing touchdowns (37) with an average of 5-plus yards per carry (5.2) in their first four seasons. Jim Brown is the other.

Also this will keep the QB happy. Additionally he is fairly lightly used still...he should be good for at least 3 of those years.

The Pack still have a couple holes on defense though...thats where they need to focus any FA activity and a majority of their draft.

Expected, but still sad. Sucks he had to go out in front of empty stadiums, deserved better. I like how he did it; he retired on the exact same day he originally signed with the team 15 years ago to the day. Best player in franchise history and it isn't close.

He's also announced he'll be working with NBC now, sounds like it could be at the college level. We'll see.

Best part of this is he announced it prior to the draft so the team can plan around that. Too many guys leave it until summer which puts the team in a worse spot.

Too bad it's NBC, that means only doing Notre Dame games which also means I won't watch much.

Class guy, one of my favorites in the league.

Loved watching him play, and used him as an example of patience, playbook prep and understanding and pocket confidence when I mentor young QB's.

Yeah totally, dropping his contract to $1 million in 2021 saved the cap-starved Saints a bunch of money on their bottom line. And I bet they don't file the paperwork until after June 2nd, so they can spread out his dead money over 2 seasons ($11M/yr) instead of absorbing it all in 2021 season. One final parting gift from Drew.

And yeah I'm pretty shocked he may be doing Notre Dame games, given he's a Purdue alum (Indiana state rival). Would be like hiring Gretzky for Flames telecasts. But as a Saints & Irish fan, I'm all for it! Tirico & Drew, #Blessed

UPDATE: Confirmed, Brees will replace Dungy (he's going back to NFL studio analyst) as colour commentator next to Tirico. Man I love that move

Seems like a lot of money for 6'3" TE that's never broken 500 yards receiving but I'm sure they will feature him in the passing game more than the Titans did.

That is a lot of money for a guy whose career totals are less than Travis Kelce's 2020 season. Even with the injury concerns I'd way rather have Hunter Henry for that kind of money.

The Pats werent going to get Kelce so making a gamble on a guy that had 41 receptions for an avg of 10.9Yds per catch and 8 TDs isnt swiss cheese. I would have preffered Henry but Smith is pretty decent at catching the ball.

I mean Kelce signed for 4 years, $57 million last year. You're paying Kelce money for midlevel production. I'd rather overpay for Golladay.

Pats could still go after Golladay, and there have been rumors to that effect. Pats have over 61M in space available.

Of course with Cam as QB you should probably sign some groundhogs to play WR, they'll be able to catch those dirt balls.
