What an outstanding shift from Bennett's line at the end of the period there. That's a really big momentum builder to not make it feel like they were just holding on with the Jets pressing.
I hope they take some lessons from the Leafs' experience and don't let off the gas here. 20 minutes from the first round!

Are we at the point of the playoff game where we complain that Bennett does not show up for game 43 in the regular season or that it is too small of a sample size to say he is a playoff performer? Nobody is surprised that the best player for the Flames again this year is Sam Bennett.
It's crazy, actually... he was arguably our best center in the 2017 Playoffs too, centering Versteeg and Chiasson. So we put him on the wing for the next three season.

As fun as this has been, I'd love to see an early goal in the 3rd. Far too close for my liking considering how much better of a team the Flames have been.

Monahan has been excellent tonight. Quiet, but so solid in transition and in the d-zone
Nothing at all to criticize so far, but I still feel uneasy only up by 2 going into the third against a team with their back against the wall. Need at least 1 more.
