This thread makes me love cp again... Felt like some were getting soft on the oilers for a while there. Let the hate flow through you cp.

Won't feel better till the final stake is through the oilers but man do they deserve every bit of bad luck they got after being handed four 1st overall in such a short period.

Lol. Ched advertising 80's music night at 'jubilations'.

Never change Edmonton.

Oilers scored on 5 on 3, and refs disallowed a goal Anaheim scored. Not sure crying is warranted.
I never know what to make of those massive goal crease scrums. There's usually enough humanity to get in the way, but not this time.

Oilers do not deserve McDavid. I hope the Ducks bury them in game 6

Kesler is basically indirectly pulling on Talbots pad. If he was actually pulling on his pad directly, this is no doubt goalie interference.
My perspective is that if you are responsible for pushing a guy into your net, you need to give him a path out. Nurse alternates between leaning on Kesler, shoving him back down and just squeezing him between himself and Tablot. Kesler's stick and glove are tangled up in the pad of Talbot, he does not "reach out" and pull on the pad as some people are claiming, that's baloney. He's making a reasonable effort to get up, he should not be expected to drop his stick and take himself completely out of the play after being shoved into the goalie. If he ends up interfering with your goalie in the process of trying to get out of the crease, well, tough titty, that's why it's a bad idea to push people into your crease.

I do not recall when was the last time we saw a playoff performance, so far, like Getzlaf is giving us.
Amazing stuff.

That sucks. I watched the entire game and turned it off with 5 minutes remaining figuring that there's no way that Edmonton could be so horrible that they'd screw that up. Went and did some other things and just checked the score now.

Just when you think they might have changed, Oilers are still going to Oilers.

Getzlaf is just so calm with the puck no matter what. Always makes incredible plays. He's definitely in beast mode. Love and hate him lol.

What a captain. What a human being. Never seen anything like that before.
In my 40 years I've only twice ever personally observed leadership greater than what we witness tonight.

One time in little league a teammate of mine hurt his knee and in a grand gesture our coach said, "shake it off, rub a little dirt on it." The fans close enough to hear were moved to tears.

The other occurred when our Pee Wee AA goalie let in a softy. A fellow teammate somehow came up with "shake it off." It was a truly life altering moment.

I wouldn't go that far. Hockey pucks give no pleasure and don't look that attractive.

Well, this is just an awesome way to start my day! I guess someone should've told the Oil that tanking in the playoffs won't net them the first overall pick.

McDavid channelling his inner Messier?
