I include this perspective for two reasons - I was surprised that Sanders would publicly agree with Trump and I think, despite a dislike by most for Trump (me included), it should be noted that this particular move by him is probably a 50/50 type move.

How is a single reporter's inaccurate tweet about White House furniture the same as the US gov't lying to the entire world from their press podium?
The questions so far are mostly terrible.

I disagree with a lot of Bernie's politics, but love him as a person.
He dislikes Trump, but publicly supports a Trump decision that he actually agrees with.
It seems like an obvious thing to do, but missing from politics everywhere. Even if Bernie can get political gain out of it, it is still the right thing to do.

I'm following a play-by-play rather than watching it live, but according to the Guardian, he's been avoiding the major news organisations.

The joke that the US elected the first internet troll to the presidency isn't far off. The argument technique this administration is showing they'll use is trolling 101.

Hahahaha he just suggested that a bunch of the people at protests on Saturday "came to the mall as they do all the time". Yeah, just a crazy coincidence how everyone decided to go for a walk at the same time! With... placards. And megaphones.
(I know that's not what he meant but it was funny).

It's not really a surprise. Sanders is a bit of an isolationist as well.
People on the far left were anti-globalization before it was cool.

I'm guessing most people would be happy if Trump only lost $1.1 million for America. Since it figures to be at a minimum 10,000 times that number....yikes
Quote:
Donald Trump’s Washington hotel lost more than $1.1 million in its first two months, according to figures that the federal agency that leases the property gave to House Democrats.
The Pennsylvania Avenue hotel, which Trump leases from the General Services Administration, trailed its revenue projections by almost $2.3 million in September and October, House Democrats said in a letter today, citing documents provided by the GSA.
In the letter, sent to the agency’s acting administrator, Democratic Reps. Elijah Cummings, Peter DeFazio, Gerald Connolly and Andre Carson argued that Trump violated the terms of his lease once he became president because it doesn’t allow elected officials to benefit. They asked the agency to turn over its correspondence with Trump’s company and to show how it’s addressing the issue.
"Our hope has always been that President Trump would resolve these breach-of-lease and conflict of interest issues prior to being sworn in as President on January 20,” the Democrats said. "Unfortunately, President Trump has refused to address these concerns, and taxpayer dollars may now be squandered as career public servants are forced to take remedial action to cure this breach.”
The Trump Organization and the GSA didn’t immediately answer requests for comment.

Spicer's briefing today reminds me of how I talk to my wife the morning after I fight with her about something stupid I did.

EDIT: I think all the actually journalists are finally getting their turn. Just got asked about paid staffers clapping at CIA meeting.
FFS. The press pool is a damn joke.
Here's an easy list of questions.
Q: Do you have confidence in the US intelligence services, and do you think they have confidence in you?
Q: You are about to assume the highest office in the land. Will you completely divest yourself of your business interests?
Q: Were any of your team in contact with Russian officials during the campaign?
Q: You mocked Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton over their attempts at a "reset" of relations with Russia. How does your approach to improving relations differ from theirs?
Q: How have your nominations made good on your campaign promise to "drain the swamp"?
Q: You suggested in a recent tweet that the US should "greatly strengthen and expand" its nuclear weapons programme until the world "comes to its senses". Can you explain how the US ramping up its nuclear weapons programme helps the world come to its senses?

In re: the whole moral outrage asking "where was the apology from the press" with respect to the bust of MLK that wasn't actually removed... the apology was on twitter, and he accepted it.

This entire staff is the biggest bunch of whiny pussies I've ever heard. It's absolutely embarrassing. Just a group of pathetic babies who get all bent out of shape over literally every little critique.

Spicer bitching about how frustrating it is for Trump to be constantly under attack by the press, and that there's a "constant attempt to undermine his credibility."
Geez Sean, maybe if your boss wasn't such a moronic, childish, thin-skinned, unqualified assclown, perhaps the press would have a different perspective on him.
