Giordano's really weird with odd man rushes. 100% of the time he's hustling back to catch a guy in an odd man rush he takes a "100% gotta call it" penalty, but more often than not doesn't do anything to negate a scoring chance.
I could see if he said "I'm taking a penalty but I'm making sure this ****ing guy goes down hard and doesn't get a shot off". But usually he'll just throw his stick out and hack the guy really hard while still allowing him to go in and shoot.
This was a little different, but he's pretty consistent in just saying "**** it, I'm taking a penalty" in odd man rushes, without fully taking away opportunities.

Outside of four months two years ago, this has not been an especially enjoyable team to watch or follow post 2009.

I was 6 when they won the Stanley Cup. Since then they have been past the first round twice. I am tired of all the losing.

Career season in goals last season. Although we didn't make the playoffs, Gio was not part of the problem.

Got to disagree. Since Monahan's first year, the team was at least interesting to watch. They put in effort and was a respectable team to watch even when they were losing.
This is just uninspired bulls***.
I believe I have a pretty realistic outlook on things regarding hockey. I expected more from this team. Much more.
