Also, CAL and Paul Byron agree on a $900K deal

I know many posters don't like Byron, but i love what he brings. At under $1 million for one year , i like it. I also think he will burry some of those breakaways this year.

I've said it before, but Paul Byron does more in his minutes to help his team than most of the bottom six.

He forechecks better, agitates, and steers play in the right direction. Also, compared to most, you almost never see him hemmed in his own zone.

He'll never score big numbers, but he does all the little things that help a bottom six be effective

While I agree with your post, as I love me some Paul Byron, I'm not so sure about the bolded. I think we can all agree that nobody saw Lance Bouma netting 16 goals, yet here we are. I think Byron does have the capacity to put together a scoring touch. By all means I don't think he will net 600 goals and 1300 points by the end of his career, I could forsee 10-15 goals and upwards of 40 points. AFAIK his S% is close to on par with the rest of the league, if not a little under (9.7% and the average seems around 11%) and he only has 62 shots.

I believe in you Paul!

I like Byron. I'm not sure how useful he is, but I like watching him play.
