No.

Heard Jarome's comment a few minutes ago, cryptic for sure. He was very classy as usual, but damn if he did submit a list Iggy has one great poker face.

Sakic put up some obscene numbers during the height of the dead puck era. 118 pts in 2000-2001. Are you kidding me?

You're right, it isn't. Sakic constantly had HOF players beside him throughout his career. Iginla had one, the goalie.

Didn't think that was a denial at all by Iggy, seemed to skirt the question quite well.

I think people are forgetting how great Sakic was and that's no slight to Iggy.

Not on the same level or even close.

Sakic is 9th all time in points.

Look at season that was referenced above. Colorado won the cup that year and Joe Sakic was a big part of it but... Sakic, Forsberg, Hejduk, Tanguay, Drury, Ray Bourque, Adam Foote, Rob Blake and Patrick Roy.

What is that, seven hall of fame guys? Has Iginla ever played with 7 Hall of Fame players in his entire Flame career?

I would consider Sakic a top 15 player all-time and Iggy a top 50 all-time. Sakic set a very high standard.

I'm willing to bet Iggy in the same circumstances would have produced near identical numbers. The Avs were a stacked team for a period of time, culminating in championships.

Exactly, he skirted it and stumbled a bit, that was not a denial. He's saying nothing.

Chuck kobasew, mike leclerc, Chris Simon, Steven reinprecht, Marcus Nilsson, Jeff shantz.

He's been surrounded by stars his entire career, it's his fault he's done nothing with them.

Just watched the interview as well, Iggy gave a list, I just wonder now if he is going to try and find the rat that spilled the beans. Caught himself there after the initial response, toned it back and played it right. I like Iggy, he is a saavy human being.

Not to mention, when Iginla went down to injury that one year and they put Byron Ritchie in his spot, and Ritchie filled in nicely for a few games. So realistically if we're not talking about Byron Ritchie getting a Hall of Fame nod, then we shouldn't be talking about Jarome Iginla, either.

Joe Sakic scored 8 overtime playoff goals in his career, more than anyone else. For that reason I would have to consider him the greatest clutch player of all time.

Sakic was on a stacked team at a time with no salary cap and half the league was basically farm teams feeding the few big teams who had the money and talent to begin with. Iginla won a scoring title playing with Dean Macammond and Craig Conroy

Sakic is one of the greats for sure but its not as far off as some think...Iginla also lead an entire decade in goal scoring

It seems the flames asking a lot could be an "excuse" if they dont trade him. I hope that's not their plan to claim they tried to trade him but couldn't get what they wanted so kept him. I feel a save face excuse possibly coming. A cop out. All too familiar with this group. Oh god I hope not.
