I'm not Matt Pelech out there, I'm Dion Freakin' Phaneuf. If I score 2 goals in my first game and average a point per game through my first 10, I shouldn't be benched/scratched played on the fourth line for the first 20 games.

That was infuriating to me. A+ Stats, B team play A positioning = 3rd line winger.

They would need to fix that a bit...80 point/season power forward with excellent +/- and one game without points and I get kicked down to the 2nd line...but I shouldn't be getting 20 minutes/game as a 3rd line grinder straight out of the AHL...

Can't even say a small comment on something specific in the game. Only general feeling I can give is to the game as a whole.

Anything that's impression based for anything related to gameplay, presentation, rosters/ratings, and game modes can't be said until Tuesday. But I'll be sure to play around the mode and give my feedback on it then.

Haha I live with my wife, roommates went out when I graduated from university ten years ago.

Are cheap stick lifts and dives from 8 feet behind still rampant? What about backward skating big (and real life SLOW) defensemen keeping up with speedy forwards going full tilt? And goalies looking at a puck a foot in front of them watching a player skate in and roofing it, or making rediculous attempts to play it with their stick letting it go right by to the open man at the side of the net who bangs it in?

jobo, it seems a little silly to me that you can't talk about the game when europeans already have the full version.

though here is a question maybe you can answer regardless: regarding gameplay, how close is the demo to the real game? obviously the demo has to be pulished while there is still time for tweaks, and they also like to accentuate new features in the demo. so if you were to put a % of similarity on the 2, what would it be? hopefully that is generic enough you can answer.

Considering how incomplete the demo is I'm hoping for a LOT.

There's no face-off straegy. Though my buddy who never picks for/backhand or line-up still wins 80% of the time. There's only 2 instances of the 'new' broadcast presentation when it does a feature on Thomas or one other guy. No new animations at all. they haven't even bothered to update the player profile card photos in what, 5 years now? I'm going to be Phaneuf still has his 2007 Flames jersey on.

the face off strategy can be changed by pressing RT then up with the right thumbstick (on an xbox) it's stated in the game manual that you can see in the demo.
