He carried my fantasy team for a week after I finally gave in and traded Carl Crawford for him and David Price...unfortunately it hurt him so bad, he hasn't been able to play since. Hopefully Adrian Gonzalez has a stronger back and can carry me for a few weeks here. Lance Berkman sure as hell couldn't handle that job for more than a week.

Not sure how having 3 teams better than you is a good thing because if they beat each other than they are also likely beating you as well.
|
I figured Pujols would be your answer, and as for the second point look at the East standings, each team is flawed and the Jays could certainly be in the division/wild card mix with the right addition.

Any other casual baseball fans totally bummed about the rainout yesterday? This team is fun to watch.

I was.
Also, I would have rather had Romero tonight.

Yes I also really wanted to see the game and watch Thames hit last night. Am hoping he starts off hot and Rivera hits the bricks soon, or Snider does whatever they want him to do in the minors and Rivera hits the bricks soon. Or basically anything happening and... you get the point. Although maybe today is one of the 3 or 4 days this month he contributes.
Good thing about Litsch going tonight means Jo-Jo doesn't get a start against Tampa.

Wasn't able to catch the game blue jays playing sloppy 4 errors?

Yeah, Encarnacion gave E3 a whole new meaning tonight. Every play was an adventure with him.
Good game by the Jays bullpen though, gave them a chance to get back in the game.

The Jays D was garbage tonight, and Litsch can't be walking people with his stuff. Certainly like Thames getting an opportunity, now get Lawrie up, and Rivera and Encarnacion the hell off this team.

What do you mean with his stuff?
His is a mediocre to bad pitcher. Walking people is exactly what will happen with his "stuff."

I think he means that Litsch isn't going to blow hitters away or fool anyone with his raw ability. Hence why he has to hit his spots, and can't be giving hitters free passes. His inability to do that consistantly is why he's a 4-5 MLB starter which you call bad because you are such a positive person without any issues.
A guy like Chris Carpenter has great stuff, can't pitch for crap though this year. Litsch had been pretty decent so far despite the fact that talent wise he can't hold Carpenters jock. But he's outpitched him big time so far this season.

Chris Carpenter can't get people out because his shoulder is complete garbage at this point in his career. It sucks to see him go out like this but he has had too many issues for it not to catch up with him.
Litsch is a 4-5 pitcher because of lack of options.

What did you think I meant? Most pitchers without plus stuff have to have pinpoint control, or they get lit up. I'm surprised this has to be explained to you.

Don't worry, it doesn't have to be explained.
I am surprised that as a Jays fan you aren't used to Litsch sucking with his "stuff."

I'm hoping that EE and Rivera get DFA'ed in the next couple weeks and Lawrie, Snider, and Thames get full time spots on the jays.
We have close to enough offense if you have those three guys + Lind in there.
Escobar SS
Hill 2B
Bautista RF
Lind 1B
Lawrie 3B
Snider LF
Arencibia C
Thames DH
Davis CF
That's a fairly good lineup, allowing Nix, J-Mac, and Patterson to have spot starts here and there. Would look a lot better than having the two crappy players out there.

Oh, Litsch is balls, but he can be serviceable when he throws strikes, like most back end rotation starters.

Yet, Litsch has the most wins of the starters....
Take away those 5 errors and the Jays would have beat the Rays...

I doubt they would DFA Rivera, but I would be okay with E9.. going on E10 getting DFA'd. The player recalled should be Lawrie.

I thought Lawrie was just as bad defensively as E?
Or are we just hoping that Lawrie can get better while there is no hope for E squared.

Huge difference is Lawrie is learning a new position.... I believe most of his errors were early in the season.
Problem with E squared. He is never going to improve the guy makes terrible plays at every position.
