I'm surprised with every store I check that there are no copies of BotW for WiiU available but usually 5+ switch copies. I figured either there wouldn't be much interest in the WiiU version with the switch release and that there would have been many copies of both released at launch.

Same thing happened with Twilight Princess. The GameCube version ended up being pretty scarce.

There's ~13-14 million WiiUs out there. And I assume less than a million Switches? Considering the amount of people that can't find a Switch and the lack of other games at the moment, I'm not shocked.

They also likely ordered more Switch copies and less Wii U copies.

Obviously no mark up (just the tax I paid).

PM me; please just tell me that you work downtown for ease of meeting up.
Thanks chemgear for hooking me up with your extra Switch! Much appreciated.

No worries, thanks for meeting up. Enjoy!

I really went overboard with the backup preorders.

I'm actually glad it doesn't have the virtual console yet, because I'd start getting tempted. Pretty surprised they didn't have that ready for launch, but it sounds like they got the actual machine done well which I guess is the most important part.

That happens when you rush to meet a financial deadline.

A lot of the features are coming. Nintendo is talking with Netflix, Hulu and the like to bring those services to Switch down the road too.

After all the discussion in the NES mini thread, the virtual console is dead to me. #### double triple quad-dipping.

If they DO bring another Virtual Console, I hope they start adding new and different games. The Wii and WiiU catalogues are just them saying "Hey, you bought this game for its original system and Wii... now buy it for WiiU!"

Admittedly, I did buy Super Mario RPG on all three and will likely buy it again if it comes out again. I just feel its a game that should be completed on every system!

Rumour is that the Switch's VC will also include Gamecube games.

Almost complete the Zora Divine Beast Vah Ruta, the dungeon is challenging to solve, and Waterblight Ganon is really strong. I was under equipped for the fight with only a boko bow that broke on the 5th arrow and not enough food to survive. Need to spend more time gathering stuff before I take another crack at it.

Did the Wii U not have Gamecube games? I'm curious because it plays gamecube games in the wii mode when homebrew is installed flawlessly and with gamecube controller support via the USB adapter

It had access to GC games, but I don't think they were on the VC.

If anyone is still looking for the Wii U version of Zelda, I have one available. I forgot to cancel my preorder so I'll pass the 20% Amazon deal onto you.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but for someone who has been out of the Nintendo "game" for a long time (since the Gamecube) would you recommend that they get the Switch or a Wii-U?
