Some terrible random backup bronco Dline guy got hit for betting on the NFL. Dummy.
I don’t understand the purpose of Saquon’s deal he made today. It’s basically the franchise tag plus a million bucks but the extras only apply if they make the playoffs and now he doesn’t even get the 120% if they franchise him again next year. I’m sure someone has broken it down but I haven’t seen it, the deal doesn’t make much sense.
Zero chatter about Jacobs, Raider fan have an idea what’s gonna happens with him?

Burrow should get 300 over 5 years. Outside of Mahomes, who's better?

I'm sure KC will redo Mahomes deal to get him back on top.
Agreed Burrow is probably #2 I read they tried to wait out the other to sign to negotiate off of.
Someone should hire Kirk Cousins agent somehow he has swindled guaranteed money his entire career.

Well he's not reporting to training camp so he either shows up 1st week of the season or he sits out games and loses money he won't make back. He really hasn't said much outside of some cryptic tweets here and there. As with Barkley he can only sign a one year deal and I doubt that's in the cards. I understand the frustration but $10 million is a lot of money and RB's have to ensure they can make every penny they can while they are in their 20's.

Are the Seahawks a cash poor franchise? Reading about how they’re trying to nickel and dime their 5th overall pick on deferring signing bonus money. He’s the last remaining unsigned first round pick I believe.

Sean Payton rips Nathaniel Hackett for Broncos job, jabs Jets
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-job-jabs-jets
Little doubt Hackett was a disaster but I don't recall an incoming coach ever trashing the guy he replaced like this.
Quote:
In an expansive mood, Payton called the work Nathaniel Hackett and his staff did with the 2022 Broncos "one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL" and said there were "20 dirty hands" around quarterback Russell Wilson's career-worst season that included just 16 touchdown passes and a league-high 55 sacks.
|
I get that he's trying to pump up Wilson's confidence but let's not forget that the Seahawks did better with a journeyman QB last season. I have little doubt that Wilson will look better under Payton but he's still a 34 year old QB on the decline. It's sure going to make that matchup with the Jets one of the more intriguing games this season.

Ultimately, Payton summed it up with "everything I heard about last season, we're doing the opposite."

Yeah Payton piling on smells more of trying to placate Wilson.
It was Hackett (and others in the org) allowing Russ coming in and bringing an entourage last year like he's running everything. What's a first year coach, trying to keep peace with his owners, going to do to lay down the law for Wilson? He couldn't.
Russ felt like he was being suppressed in Seattle, and last year, when he finally had full run of the show with his full crew, he failed miserably. Payton has cut back on Wilson's latitude this year, and this seems like now him giving back to Wilson by deflecting some of the blame off of him for last year.
