Espinal with a brain cramp. That was weird. Obviously thought there was 2 out.

Phew. The only thing that brain fart ended up costing was extra pitches.

Inexcusable. One of the Rays outfielders did the same thing last night on a sac fly.

I'd like to see Moreno get some AB at some point soon.

I know it won’t happen but it would be interesting if they actually when with Stripling in game 1, Manoah in game 2, and then if there was a game 3 they’d have Gausman and if they swept the opponent, they’d have Gausman to start in Game 1 of the ALDS.

It would be risky for Schneider in case Stripling and Manoah both lost but it would give a nice setup for the next series.

They’ve got to make up for the great umpiring done in game 1 yesterday.

Some great pitching by Garcia to get out of that inning unscathed. A couple more add-ons would be great just to help the nerves.

Those stats for righties against Bass are unreal.

.154 BA
Approximately .200 slugging %?

Jesus christ man...

And as I type that, they get an infield hit on him. That's about as much as they can expect to get. Bass is borderline closer good this year.

This 5 gamer against the Rays was the scariest series in the back half of the season, and now we are guaranteed at least 3. Huge relief to get through this one, and have Gausman with a chance to make it 4/5 tomorrow.

Would be great to see the Rays slip in to the rear view.

We are blessed to have him and Romano.

Little surprised the attendance is dipping so low in September. We've been pretty high during the week for most of summer, now we're hitting low 20k's most nights.

I guess with kids back in school, maybe?

Kids back in school makes for a late night. More offices requiring people to be in means longer morning commutes for workers. Sport tryouts. People just have more going on.

I'm guessing the weekend games will be close to capacity. I am going for the first time this year on Friday. I'm usually good for 5-10 games a season but for one reason or another have not gone when I've had tickets available this year. Looking forward to it, my mom is visiting from Victoria for 5 weeks and one of her requests while she was here was to go to a Jays game, so that's fun.

My favorite experience at a game so far this season is when Romano came out to close, and the Jays were up by 1 or 2. It was already dark, but they turned down the lights at Rogers Centre and showed a walk-up vid for him, blasted music and pointed blue lights everywhere. That was so cool, made him seem even more badass than he already is
