Like sure, the other Fox Kids superhero shows like 90s Spider-man have a nostalgia factor, but they're no where near as good/hold up to adult eyes like BTAS

The issues you run into when looking at the X-Men series or the Spider-Man series is these shows all run into walls. X-Men had issues with animation and the studio. Spider-Man had issues with their writing and the studio.
The Timmverse just never let any of these issues derail it. The Art Style was simple and didn't suffer when the animation house sagged. They had a tight writing group with a long term eye on cohesion and had it crossing shows over a period of over ten years. They pushed back against censors and got to write the show they wanted.
They didn't concern themselves with trying to make a kid show something for adults. They just wrote Batman stories and those translate well for kids and adults. They were great at writing adult themes without trying to write adult themes which kept everything kid friendly.
Then you factor in what is probably some of the best voice casts ever assembled for a show and you just have something that stands the test of time. Batman Beyond in particular is some of the best writing in any comic book show ever.

I do think my love of Art Decco also started with BTAS

I swear this thread hasn’t been on page 2 in years.
Aquaman looks terrible. I imagine when it flops, the discussion won’t be about whether comic book movies are dead, but when they died.

They died with Tony Stark IMO.
There have been some okay even good ones since. But it doesn’t really matter if they’re good or not now, people are over it. And that’s coming from someone who freaking loves comic book movies. If I’m not seeing them, I don’t really understand who is.

The Batman was great. I'm looking forward to everything from that universe. To be honest, comic book movies were always a bit overblown. With the exception of Iron Man and GoTG, I really didn't like much from Phase 1 and 2 of the MCU. The first half of Phase 3 was mostly great, but then it started to dwindle after Infinity War. Phase 4 and 5 are back to business as usual.

I think along these lines as well.. if I haven't even bothered to watch Antman 3 for "free" on my Disney+, then who is paying to go to the theatre for The Marvels?
I think the box office answered that one.
I've tried three times to get into Secret Invasion but have not been able to finish a full episode in one sitting.
Loki season 2 was decent though, I can admit that. It took me two tries to get into it, but the second time I was hooked till the ending. I don't think I'd watch a third season though.

It was definitely disappointing after such a great buildup. I think it will make more sense as we get to see the fallout through the expanded universe though. The upcoming Penguin series deals directly with the events after the movie.

Loki was good.
The Batman was good.
The Spiderverse series is genuinely phenomenal.
But it’s done. Marvel pulled off something once in a lifetime.

I kind of agree.
I think what Marvel pulled off building up to Infinity War/Endgame was a Cinematic Event, that was a piece of absolute brilliance.
I dont think you can pull that off twice within the same generation.
And now they're just trying to profit as much as they can off its rotting carcass.
But take nothing away from "Iron Man -> Endgame" that was nothing short of sheer brilliance. An unbelievable achievement. The money, the art, the films, its nothing short of amazing.
And of course the Business people who did nothing but sign and deposit cheques just think its all part of a day's work.
"Do it again."
Sorry boys. I think you got your 'once in a lifetime' paycheque/lightning in a bottle. I'd take it and be happy.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Deadpool 3 will be a hit next year though — we’re just reversing now where not every comic book thing is a guaranteed hit, just the big / established franchises are the only thing really hitting right now.

Why not? It was fine when Ezra Miller did it.
