I caved and AC is being installed tomorrow, so I’ll take the blame/credit for the immediate drop in temperature.

24 - 25 the next three days, what a beautiful forecast after +30 and above every day. Gotta say, I'm developing some undercoverbrother in me after all this heat. Still won't cheer for it as I undersat1nd what comes with it, but it's becoming more manageable.

I think you read that wrong.

So hottest day on that climate record(there was no peak hot day in 1940). It broke the previous record, which was set...the day before. And before that, it was July 6th last year.

Weather Network is so dramatic lol (or just wildly inaccurate with its smoke indicators). Today is definitely our worst smoke day this summer to date, but there's no way this is an 11/10 on the smoke scale like WN is stating. Feels like that one friend that exaggerates everything.

I can see blue sky and downtown doesn't look like Blade Runner, so there's no way today is even close to what we saw last year

It’s like the setting the Extreme Cold Warning threshold at -18. You can no longer draw the important distinction between -18 and -35.

Exactly! I have a nice view from my balcony of the downtown skyline, there's times I haven't even been able to see massive buildings a few blocks away due to smoke. Can see them perfectly fine today, just a visible haze. Feels like it should be around a 7 for smoke. Certainly not great, but this isn't day-ruining for outside plans smoke (which is what an 11/10 is).
