I'm surprised you didn't know, maybe it just got lost in the #MeToo movement and news that came out all at once? As mentioned, it was a huge story and is the driving force behind the "Brendan Fraser renaissance".

I think he got a bit of attention for the alimony payment story also, he went to court to ask for the payments to be reduced because he couldn't afford it. He was paying the exwife $75k a month for alimony and child care combined.

Finally got around to The Banshees of Inisherin. Loved every moment of it. Everything about it was well done.

I watched it tonight as well. Liked it but not as much as In Bruges. Bit of a tough watch at times, for various obvious reasons... maybe a little too on the nose. But still, good movie with some great performances.

Scream Factory did an excellent job with the 4K release.
I watched Back to the Future 2, and I thought it was solid but a step down from the first one. There were so many timelines going on I wish they would have decided to have the movie in 2015 the whole time instead of 2015, 1985 and 1955. I also wish Marty's GF was in it more, they sidelined her for the entire movie for no reason. I still thought it was good, and had some cool gags and moments in it. Looking forward to finishing off the trilogy.

Watched Heaven's Gate this afternoon/evening. I don't think it's good but as a historic flop, it's kind of fascinating. I don't think it is worth the 3.5-hour sit if you're not interested in it (pseudo)academically.

Last Knights (Clive Owen, Morgan Freeman) has got to be one of the most boring movies I've ever sat through. It's two hours long but felt like six.

Aaron Eckhart is another one. He basically did nothing after The Dark Knight.

I also watched this for the first time last week on the Criterion blu ray. I love watching this type of Hollywood epic that no longer gets made in this fashion. Just the scale of the thing is impressive with about a thousand extras inhabiting a whole town set that they built for the film. The photography is stunning too. It's nowhere near the reputation it historically has had, but it isn't great either. At 3 hours 40, it's definitely too long and meanders quite a bit.

Thoughts on pacing?
I have heard it is a slow slog at times.

I enjoyed it, as well. Probably even more if there had been subtitles.

They pretty well walk everywhere, so that's pretty slow.
Honestly, though, yes, it does have a slower pace than most movies these days.

Black Panther 2 has to be the absolute worst comic book movie I have seen. I liked the first one, Chadwick Boseman was great so it was gonna be tough work to move on without him but this was boring and just terrible, the usual Marvel forced humor hack jokes were even worse than Thor.
I liked the Namor character, that was fine, any scene without the Talokan was pure garbage. At least it was only $8 on a Tue.

Just watched The Menu, and loved it.
A weird, well done black comedy is a home run for me usually.

I saw it it on Disney + and thought about it.
These three posts tipped scales, I'm gonna watch it

I thought it was good, but also didn't hold a candle to 1917.
