If they are going to continue with the wolves story, there is going to have to be a larger group somewhere else as every single one of the original invaders is dead (I think).
Personally I hope they're done with them. They're just a generic group of psychos from what I've seen. They're so contrived, it's like the writers got bored and needed some adversary for the group to face but they didn't want to put any effort in.
"we're crazy and we want to kill you for no reason! we don't even want your stuff! we just want to smash your head in until it is a fine misty paste! Oh and we don't like guns!"
Don't get me wrong, episode 2 was great but I don't really see the wolves storyline going anywhere.

We barely know anything about them, except:
-They are remorseless killers
-They set elaborate traps, killing people to make those traps
-They are known to others, or set up warnings to others
That is awfully intriguing, and I think it would be premature to say their role in the story has already played itself out.

I think the wolves are going to attack again and have the group pinned to the wall and right before it's all over, Glen will show up and save them!
The wolves do look intriguing and I really hope there's more to it then what we've seen because they really don't look like much so far.

That first attack group was probably just a bunch of peons. Pure collateral only. Probably why they were all without guns. Why waste ammo on a scouting mission? The wolves probably had a bunch of scouts watching the whole attack to see what exactly is the situation in Alexandria and with Rick's group. Now they should have a better idea of how armed and capable they are, and can move onto whatever next step they have planned.

It is safe to say that without Carol or "Rick's group" inside the walls then that town would have fallen, just like Noah's did last season. So this may be the first time that the Wolves actually encountered any form of resistance and/or they pick their battles really well to avoid this kind of resistance.
Now that they have come up against a formidable foe they can either lick their wounds and try their luck somewhere else, or go full tilt into a war. For the sake of good television I am guessing it will be option #2. I fully expect another assault or at least some form of show down that will force Rick's group to go scouting for their base. That could reveal all sorts of new world twisted scenarios for the second half of this season.

I believe that's supposed to be the dumpster Glenn fell off of and the other guy is waiting for him to appear alive or something...

It still would make no sense to me. You have the element of surprise. The armed men are away.
Why would you send in unarmed peons to potentially loose? Sure the leaders may not be part of the attack, but why wouldn't you arm the troops for the surprise attack! You want to loose and then allow the town to be prepared for a future attack?
It would seem very weird to me if there was a really organized leadership group with guns controlling this. I get the impression these are the crazies all grouped together and just being crazies and looting and pillaging.

The problem is, I don't know if they are aware of that. How do the Wolves know who is left in Alexandria when Rick, Darryl, etc leave? If those peons go in with guns, and get killed off by a better armed Alexandria group. Then that is a lot worse than just losing the peons. I think sending them in unarmed was the best option for scouting it out and causing some damage.

Like Wormius said below, it's a scouting mission...except no one cares if the scouts live or die.
The Wolves were also capturing some people. It must be part of their recruiting. They probably put the captured people into some gladiatorial one man survives type challenge with other survivors, which brainwashes them into becoming sacrificial pawns.

Annoyed they are going to let us ponder the fate of Glenn and Rick longer, but i liked the episode regardless. Nice to see some insight into why Morgan is the way he is.

Don't know why that had to be 90 minutes, but it was a good episode. I'm still anxious to find out what happened to Glenn.

So, episode catching up Morgan's story. Revealing a lot of how this character has come to believe all life is precious. Spoiler alert in case you haven't seen the episode...stop reading now...OKAY. Though we didn't get to find out what is happening with the main story, or stories so far...we still don't know what's happening with Rick or Glenn, though we are left with Morgan's little secret & possible threat to everyone in Alexandria. Loved that they brought in John Caroll Lynch to play Morgan's Yoda.
As much as I enjoyed the episode tonight I still can't help but feel a bit frustrated with everything still left hanging from last week's episode. I expected to see this story at some point during the season and I know that the show creators are great at creating tension but damn, what the hell is going on with Glenn & Rick?!!!

I feel like this is more proof that Glenn is alive. I highly doubt they would kill him off and then not go back to give everyone closure and move on. Plus I think it would be a bit of a slap in the face to a main character to have them die the way Glenn did and then dismiss it to jump back into Morgan's character.

Thought that was a great episode. After last week I didn't want another run and gun episode. Looks like next week will cover that. I am totally fine with waiting on Glenn, at least we can hold out hope one more week.
Thought that was a great backstory on Morgan, who is probably the best acted and most complex character on the show. They walked the line there, I was scared of a montage breaking out, but I think they kept it in check. Really like how Morgan was responsible for Eastman's death, and the no remorse wolf. Had the wolf said, ya man I want to join your movement I would have been choked. I think they played it well.
Great contrast with last week where the good guys have all turned wolf. Even Glenn has been maybe killed due to believing in people. Really needed this episode to show that good is still at war and not beaten in this world. I thought this episode was the shower the show needed after last week.
Anyways, looking forward to the walkers returning next week. For now liking the change up and info on why Morgan went from bat crazy to zen.
