I liked BoP for what it was. But I haven't felt the need to rewatch since I saw it in theatres right before lockdown.

Yeah, did not like BoP.

I think The Suicide Squad was pretty good though. I actually quite liked Aquaman for what it was and thought Snydercut was great. I'd like to rewatch BvS, without all the contemporaneous media attention in my mind.

Man of Steel was solid and actually holds up really well.

The Flash was the first DC movie I couldn't finish. I got started and had to turn it off, but maybe that's just because I hated the casting of Ezra Miller in the role to begin with. I haven't seen Birds of Prey or Blue Beetle, but at least WW84 I had the previous movie to attempt to drag me through it. I won't be giving the Flash another try, just don't care.

I saw Flash last weekend when I noticed it was on Crave. I'd put it as a middle-tier DCU movie, which is pretty low. You had an unlikeable protagonist (X2) and no real villain to speak of. I like the idea of the hero having to make a difficult choice with self-sacrifice (eg. ST: TOS On the Edge of the City of Forever), but anyone vaguely familiar with Flashpoint knows what that is here and how it would end. I also found Keaton repeating his lines from Batman 89 uber cringe fan service that did not land.

The movie could have been so much better with a good villain and a likable Flash; have Barry make the difficult decision halfway through the movie, and then have to chase the Reverse Flash for the second half. The Reverse Flash is my favorite villain that has the same powers as the hero. He's insane, hates Barry, and is so much better at using the speed force than Barry is.

To be fair that name was coined in the 1960s...why they kept it? He's actually a pretty interesting, albeit dark, character. The name really doesn't fit.

They’ve agreed to a tentative deal, I believe it just needs to be voted on.

We had a strong feeling that something would get done this weekend on Friday. This was kind of a do or die weekend. If nothing got done this weekend there was a good chance that talks would be shelved until the new year.

Getting things settled now may allow for a few smaller projects to get going but I don't imagine many do. It can take 2-3 months to get a show crewed up and permits in place etc. Typically productions take a week off in November and two weeks off over Christmas so they are not really leaving themselves much time to get things going.

To be fair, it's only the Writers with the tentative deal - the Actors are still on strike. So not much can move ahead with actual production, but hopefully more pre-production and writing can resume.

Actors won't be far behind. They mainly went on strike to support the writers. They will probably get similar concessions as the writers did and move along.

I think the actors were only striking in support of the writers, if that is the case I imagine they’ll be going back to working right away.
