Looks great, y'all are crazy to write this off already
old faithful.
I thought Aquaman 1 was terrible, far far worse than most say, so I will not be breaking my I'll watch the DC movie when I can do it for free rule on this one.

It wasn't terrible. Bane was an awesome character. It definitely could have been a lot better though. They seemed to borrow too much from Frank Miller's material, and that didn't always translate well into film. If they'd just kept it more reality based and the story less zany, like the first two films, it would have been a lot better.

Thats essentially my take on it too. It felt like Nolan and Bale just wanted to wrap it up and move along, but its still 3.6 Roentgen.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

The original plan was to bring back the Joker, but ledger paying away derailed that. They came to with a new plan, that had it's moments, but was a bit cobbled together.

I read rumours of both that and Ledger dying really deflated everyone involved. They seemed like they just wanted to move on.
Either way, I get it, it wasnt a bad movie, but coming on the heels of the Dark Knight expectations were high and it didnt seem to have the same passion in it.
It was a bit a let-down.

Pretty far down the list of DC Characters, and I will admit that the Hispanic family stereotyping got pretty old, pretty quick, but other than that it was a good, fun movie!
Its like one of the better DC offerings in a long time. It was light, funny, fun, nobody did a bad job in regards to acting...entirely, I didnt notice any glaringly bad CGI (but I rarely do) and overall I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed it.
It still falls into the standard DC trap of having an overly-long CGI punchfest near the end and, I swear I never thought I'd say these words...but Susan Sarandon was the weakest link.
Again, pretty formulaic but it was still fun. I'd watch it again.
I'd say...solid 6.5/10. Nothing special, but competent and fun enough.

I watched the flash last night, and I actually think they did a ton of stuff right, it might be my favorite DCEU movie, although it's probably still WW (not that it's a high bar)
The story and the tone were absolutely what that film needed, and for a film with a dozen cameos the top 4 or 5 seemed less hamstrung than most from Star Wars, Marvel and DC have been in the past. There were some hamstrung cameos, but when Batfleck, Gadot, and Oldbat showed up it fit with the story.
Instead of having Lando hosting a burning man festival or E.Ross investigating a kidnapping of an Ironman wannabe just so we remember that Wakanda exists in the same universe as the Avengers.

I didn't think the Flash was horrible either. The effects were broken at times, but that has a lot to do with WB pulling funding partway through. The other complaint was that they didn't quite stick the landing on the ending with the evil Flash, but it was close. The character design was off, and there they didn't quite build up into it enough.
There were a lot of pretty entertaining and engaging parts to the movie though.

I dont know, for me that movie was a struggle and I dont know what it would take to convince me to try it again.
If there is anything more obnoxious than Ezra Miller it is 2 Ezra Millers and one point even 3?
All I'll say is that Michael Keaton is Better Than Ezra.

That's more an indictment of all of the other ones.
I thought Aquaman, SS1, SS2, WW84, BvsS, JL, JL-Snyder Cut, BoP, BA were all borderline unwatchable.
Shazam 1 and 2 were OK, but it had the tone of a early 2000's YTV show and it's just not the content I'm looking for in my mid 30s.
WW1 was a pretty serviceable movie, especially if somehow they had stuck the landing a little better with the big punch fest ending then it would have been a pretty good movie.
And The Flash, well not without it's flaws, I liked what they did for an inciting incident, I like the plot, I liked the way they handled to multiverse much better than all of the MCU portrayals. hell for ham-strung cameos, I thought the roles Batfleck, Gadot, and Keaton played in the movie made sense for the story they wanted to tell. So for me top 2 DCEU, it was a low bar, but they finally did it.
