Wouldn't surprise me either. But did it happen? And what does Fox, Brietbart, infowars et all have to do with CNN?

it's funny looking back now that at the very beginning of the Republican nomination (that first debate) it was FOX that wanted Trump to lose and CNN who wanted him to win.

Well, you made some snide comment about no one watching CNN when it is still one of the most accepted sources of information around, for people that aren't ####ing nuts. Those people that are ####ing nuts prefer Fox, Breitbart, and InfoWars. Notice you clipped The Rebel. Must be a subscriber.

A woman who accused Donald Trump of raping her two decades ago when she was a 13-year-old aspiring teen model has again dropped a federal lawsuit over the alleged assaults.

Anything interesting in the weekend edition of Pravda?

Such ridiculous nonsense. The President will basically only interview on Fox and Friends and lifts many of his tweet lines directly from Fox, Breitbart, Drudge or other even more sketchy sources. Most of the insinuations made are either patently false, easily disproved, or considerably more nuanced than the simplistic slant and solutions presented either by them or the President. Yet it's the independent, established, journalistically responsible sources that are somehow propaganda? Okay. That's a fabulous way to end up with low-information, hopelessly confused, deeply ignorant people...and how to get an utterly unfit ignorant a-hole elected to lead your country. Good luck with that.

Anyone truly interested in looking at how the rise of Trump happened should read through this. Absolutely fascinating. Various right and left think tanks pooled resources to follow voters through multiple elections to see what motivates change in voters. Broken down this way you get a sense of what was the difference between 2012 and 2016.

Some takeaways for me:

1. The vast majority of voters were motivated by party lines. Not really surprising, but 90% of all voters voted the same party in both elections. It really reinforces the fact that a limited few really decide the vote.
2. White people who voted for Obama then Trump were strongly correlated with negative views on Muslims and had the opinion that Black people could and should move up in society without special favours. Basically, it wasn't the economy. It was subtle xenophobia.
3. A large portion of Trump's base (non traditional Republican small government) has very liberal views on entitlements. This leads to some thought provoking contrasts with the majority of republican objectives.

No single thing led to Trump's win. You could point to economic hardship with white rural voters, Bernie holdouts, disenfranchised black voters, white working class turnout, Comey letter, etc.

All of those are true and the correct answer depends on how you phrase the question and your nuanced perspective.

What is the biggest reason Clinton lost? Here's my opinion based on work done by fivethirtyeight, this study and own observation (not really strong as far removed from the US as I am)

-biggest event was the Comey letter. There's no disputing that her support levels were high enough to win relatively comfortably until the letter dropped and her support plummeted

-biggest driver of white working class voters switching from Democratic nominee to Trump was fear of immigrants. Trump's gamble (I think he was lucky here not prescient) paid off because his blatant race baiting was enough to switch the few targets, while the vast majority of the Republicans were abhorred, they were not about to change party lines.

Yes, this is real. These are the court docs of the suit against Trump and Epstein, which was suddenly dropped after the plaintiff received death threats.

CNN is based in reality, FNC, BB, infowars etc. aren't, that's why Trump prefers them. Conspiracy theories are not reality, Voter fraud commission? lol.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

At some point the Fake News will be forced to discuss our great jobs numbers, strong economy, success with ISIS, the border & so much else!

First off, I thought the numbers were fake when Obama was Prez? Now they're true? And secondly, what the heck has he had to do with ISIS? He's actually trying to take credit for it?

What has he had to do with anything? He's yet to sign a single major piece of legislation or implement any policy that could affect the marketplace. The only reason the market is up is a result of investors believing Trump is going to do something to relieve "burdensome regulations" and let the banks go crazy again. If he doesn't produce those policies, the market will have to react accordingly and drop. Same thing goes for job growth. The gains we have seen are still a result of Obama's policy, not Trump's policies, because Trump has not passed any legislation which would impact job growth. If you look at trends since he took office, growth has plateaued and is more on a slightly negative trend. This is a result of lack of policy. No one will hire until there is some certainty in the marketplace. Trump is a fraud and relies on some of the most transparent tactics to anyone who is actually paying attention.

Could you give an example of when CNN "lied" (purposefully?)?

Honestly asking as I have heard the odd American indicate this, but I have never heard of any examples.

Examples? And I mean examples where CNN does not issue a retraction or correct a wrongly reported story. Because that is where the journalistic integrity line is maintained and where Fox News, Breitbart, InfoWars, and so on, fail to meet the expectations of "media" and instead become propaganda organs.

So conspiracies do happen then? That's a pretty profound statement Duff made so would like that clarified before moving on.
