Maybe some of that is fatigue? I've had some rounds where that last few holes sees me with a lazier swing and just not playing as well as I can. Particularly if it's really hot or I've had a long week or things of that nature. I just attribute that to fatigue in general.

Maybe fatigue, maybe hunger/low blood sugar. Personally, I found that eating a snack around the turn really helped my backside.

That was something I picked up caddying on the CanTour. Those pros would crush bananas all round.

Played on Sunday with my buddy who is a member. It's in decent shape, I found the greens a touch slow but not chewed up or anything. I also hadn't played in a few years, a couple blind tee shots I didn't remember as well as the silliness of the 10th hole, but overall I like the course.

My buddy was 31 on the front and -8 thru 13 before the horn got blown, haha.. poor guy, although he's had a few hot rounds out there this year anyway.

When I caddied at the Women's Open at Priddis, we played the Saturday with Lydia Ko. She crushed a sandwich on the 10th tee. I asked her for a bite, she said no.

Interesting... I find eating snacks does not help my backside at all!

Hydration plays a big part in fatigue as well. Water/Gatorade good. Beer/alcoholic beverages bad. For every beer, have at least a water or sports drink, preferably two or more. I agree with DoubleK to keep snacking (granola or some mixed nuts work great as well) as you can burn a lot of energy on course, even when you're riding.

Played the Quarry in Edmonton last weekend. Fantastic course… but it smelled like sewage. Not sure I could go back in those conditions.
The Quarry is one of my favorite courses around here, I've never heard of or been there with a sewage smell.

Love the variety on the course, I find myself using more clubs and trying more different shots than usual.

Yep, that's it for me for sure. I've had many rounds bordering on mid to high 70's and I know for fact that my body isn't generating the appropriate energy on swings by 16 and I'll go +3 to +6 on the last three.

My first sub 80 in my life was 78 and I went bogey, double bogey, triple bogey to finish. It was ridiculous as I almost went from never breaking 80 to nearly parring the course and then blew up.

I tend to have 4 - 10 beers per round though, depending on if I drive or not, so that is definitely a factor.

For me that kind of depends. If it’s super hot, I tend to have no beer or maybe 1. But those same rounds, if I’m walking (which I almost always am), I think my scores inflate over the last few holes. I don’t know about that for sure, but I think that’s the case.

A lot of non-golfers don’t realize that it’s a legitimate sport and just like any other, you get tired as you get closer to the end of the game.

We should get a CP round out at Priddis to wrap the year, Slava!

Haha, I’d love to do that! Logistically, it’s really difficult, but it would be a lot of fun.

10 beers - wow........i generally just drink gatorade and maybe some water if it is really hot. however, given my scorecard, maybe i should opt to drink more as it certainly cant hurt my game

That's a few times a year with certain groups. I'd say 2-6 is more the norm.

If I took edibles and tried to golf guaranteed I'd be asleep in the cart by the turn.

River's Edge punched on Monday. Greens are pretty sandy right now. I'd give it a week before heading out there.

Went out for quick round of golf this afternoon. Course was empty and with just me and a cart I played 18 in just an hour and 15 minutes.
