Yandle sucks.
That’s pretty much “what’s up with him” at this stage of his career.

Truculent!

Sucky Keith Yandle put up 45 points in 69 games last year and would have been the best producing D man on our team. All the while lining up against top line players and putting up stellar possession stats.
But yep, he sure sucks!

Listening to the FAN and they are playing a clip from a Torts interview with a Columbus radio station. He didn’t mince words and makes me think PLD will be gone sooner than later. Mentioned a really short leash and doesn’t get why a young guy who they put so much into wants to leave at 22

If there was ever a player to go heavy on futures for and push all in - it would have been Matthew Barzal. But if there’s a 2nd guy worth pushing all in for, it’d be PLD.
I think CBJ would be best served going after a futures-heavy deal anyways. Keep battling and keep that warrior culture going, but do it while rebuilding.

Nault shouting about PLD on the Fan now. Gives me Teddy from Bob's Burgers vibes.
On topic - its hard to get a take on CBJ. Are they looking to win now? Looking down the road? Thats a franchise that always seems to be looking at whats next. They'll be looking to fill that arena when fans can come back and inviting them to a rebuild might not be what they're after.

I see a lot of people elsewhere mentioning because "it's Columbus". Columbus is actually a great city to visit (and to live in it seem)s. Lots a cool vibes around. It's a large university college town so a 22 year old should fit right in. HUGE HOCKEY TOWN. They have one of the largest adult leagues in the US. And Columbus is supposedly "the smartest" city in the United States. It could be a personal thing with coach/players?

I totally believe Treliving is in on this to set the Flames up for years to come.
Throw those chips in, this is the guy to do it for. Make the bold move.

There was a Reddit post from a Florida fan I saw yesterday that detailed why he sucks. For the life of me, I can't find it but here's what I remember:
- He shies away from hits to preserve his ironman streak. Apparently, he leads the league in least hits taken.
- Most of his assists are secondary assists.
- He doesn't check at all.
- A complete defensive liability. For example, instead of going into the corner to get a puck he will poke it to the nearest Florida player rather than get it himself.
More stuff like that, but it was a pretty good post as it supplemented the above with decent stats. Admittedly, I don't know a ton about Yandle after he left the Coyotes.

Columbus is an awesome city. My money is on PLD having had enough of Torts.

Personally I think it's got to be the 5-6 loud trump supporters in the room. He's being so guarded about it, to me it's got to be discomfort from that and longing for home.

Yandle has a NMC and must be protected in the expansion draft. I think that could be another reason why Florida is looking at moving him.

Way overpaid, in a year where the cap crunch is the worst it has ever been.
And a year where there is an expansion draft and he has a no-move clause.
Good luck moving him.

I think this is part of it. Pure speculation but he’s just had enough of Columbus and the players/coach.

Didn't he say that he wanted a bigger stage? Columbus may be a great place to live, but it's small and one of the lowest profile hockey markets.

Easy excuse compared to publicly saying he hates the coach
