I’d assume that militaries have access to other satellite communication providers, but need devices specific for those.

It's for the best: the latest dumb MAGA trend I've noticed on there is claiming Canada / UK never stormed the beaches of Normandy, it was all USA. It got a fair bit of traction too. Just the worst people ever.
