Hernandez acted as a decoy to make sure Bichette scored…I think.

Man that 3rd strike was inside a bit. Don't blame him for being a bit ticked.

I suppose you could call that a clutch win, but it really shouldn’t have been close.
On to my second favourite team the A’s and a chance to make a real move in the WC race.

Gross. Boston found a way to beat the Rays late. Looks like the only team the Jays will gain ground on tonight is the Athletics.

It's nice to win both series against DET and BAL, but at this point it's just not enough. They need to go on a real winning streak to even have a sniff at the wildcard.

Jays just went 10-12 during one of the weaker stretches in their schedule.
Now they face the A's and Yanks the next 7 games.

The Mets sure love Blue Jays cast offs. Stroman, Villar, Pillar, Drury, Mckinney, Walker, Reid-Foley, Loup, Castro. And now Hand. Pretty impressive list really.

Yennsy Diaz too. Incredible eh. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that in sport before. Basically 11 former Jays on the same Mets team all at once.
I am happy to see Miguel Castro still pitching. He was such a unique talent coming up into the majors at 20 years old.
The Brad Hand trade definitely sucks a bit. To lose Riley Adams for Hand, then Riley Adams single handedly beating the Jays in a crucial two game series, then losing Hand for nothing. I don't anticipate Adams to continue to rake like he is at the moment, however I hope he does! Atkins has been pretty economical in terms of adding value to the team while not losing a ton, so I can't blame him too much.

Less than great start to a very important series.
Can the bats please do something? I'm tired of feeling like 2 runs against is a loss.

Smith just isn't major league material.

Manaea came into this game with a near 10 ERA in his last 6 starts. Of course the Jays are going to get shutout.
I don't think I've ever seen a drop off, in any sport, like I have with the Jays offense this year. Going from arguably the best team from Apr-July to one of the worst from Aug-Present.

Most of our bull####pen hasn't been major league material and a lot of our hitters haven't been major league material when it counts down the stretch here.

Some runs would be nice. Has the well ever dried up offensively or what. Need a couple games of putting up big numbers to start feeling it again.
