86 on Metacritic (the second highest rating of any wide release), 95% fresh on RT, $380M at the box office... I think it was rated pretty accurately and got the appropriate audience response, lol.
I mean more like not many people are talking about it.
Saw Ninja Turtles tonight, same sitch- great movie and underrated.
Just saw Blue Beetle, was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. My favorite DC film of the year, it does a great job balancing humor, action and heart all to an amazing techno inspired score.

I know your taste in films is bafflingly incomprehensible, but I actually thought Blue Beetle had some potential.
But after The Flash I'm not paying to see it.
DC has some serious reputation rebuilding they need to do....and thats saying something since they didnt start off all that well and then just kept digging, but Gunn pumping the Flash's tires to wind up with....that....did some real damage.

Ya Flash was somehow well below my already rock bottom expectations. Ezra Miller was just insufferably awful. Miller is somehow a worse actor than Gal Gadot. It didn’t help that the script sucked either.

Gal Gadot is not a great actress, but she tries. I have no issues with her. She is also never given much to work with.
Ezra Miller is awful. Then they doubled him.
THEN....you wanna bitch about the script?
I have complained about this since Batman vs. Superman, Justice League, and now The Flash...you can bitch about the script, but they are taking absolute GOLD source material and wiping their asses with it.
Flashpoint Paradox? And you got Keaton? And it was still hot garbage??
You've gotta be kidding me with this BS. You have to be trying to make a bad movie at this point.

I just watched the Flash and was pleasantly surprised. If they'd made a few small tweaks it could have actually been good:
1. They needed to cut the length down by about 10-15 minutes.
2. The effects needed to be finished. They weren't as bad as I was expected, but there was definitely a couple of scenes where things looked kind of cartoony. It reminded me of the Matrix sequels. Where things were generally good, but then you'd all of a sudden be watching a cartoon.
3.
Spoiler!
The ending with evil Flash didn't have enough punch. Maybe they could have built it up more with young Barry hinting at his nature more? The character design could have been better too.
There should be a law that if you write off a completed creative work you must instantly release it into the public domain. You're not going to make money off it anyway, so why not let the world see it?

Im not a comic book movie guy really but wind up watching them all multiple times due to my kids. Nor have I read any of the comics for Marvel or DC. But I took my son to Blue Beetle and I think its the most enjoyable comic book movie Ive seen since early Avengers stuff.
Its not ground breaking or anything but just really well done, lots of funny parts and doesnt get stale. Havent enjoyed a DC movie since Nolan Batmans so Im hoping they keep this momentum going.

Seems like we're quickly entering an age where Disney is only going to produce and air content that directly fuels their parks and merchandise businesses.
It doesn't mean much, but change has to start somewhere. It may not amount to anything. It may amount to a tiny improvement.
Disney VFX has also filled for union status with the labor relations board. A little something more I guess. Majority of VFX happens in India and Australia so still not sure what impact this will have but at the very least it raises awareness.
They better settle the damn strikes soon as post is suffering big time and another month or two and there won't be anymore post and VFX houses left to finish the filming. Let alone production workers to actually work on the films.
