It'll be great after it hits +35c and then the brief thunderstorm will make it crazy humid...

Not trying to pick on you, but I do see this quite a bit. People with central A/C are able to enjoy this warm weather, and people who don't have it end up hating it. While I agree that 35 may be a little warmer than I'd like, high 20s or low 30s are just great summertime weather for me.

Just think- in the winter people spend 1000s of dollars to go somewhere that has weather like we are having now.

Honestly that’s what made the difference. Hated this weather pre-AC, love it now. Having that little bit of refuge is all it takes to really appreciate it, and I really think people in Calgary need to get over the idea of not needing AC because it’s just going to get hotter for longer as we go forward.

Now the worst part of this weather is how many beers I “need” to drink on the golf course.

I can't drink beer while golfing in this weather. Have to basically have at least 1 Gatorade and a full litre of water over 18. More if I'm walking but I'm not walking in this.

2 Gatorades, 4-6 vodka seltzers (let’s watch our figures boys).

Winning combination for 18 in 30+ degrees.

Last night out for our walk and the wife says at least there is a breeze. More like someone blowing hot air on me when i'm already hot, it was just pushing the hot around not providing relief.

I guess people have different ideas about what constitutes shorts weather. As we’ve discussed in an earlier thread, there are people who enjoy walking around in shorts at 10 celsius.

But even in summer the temp usually drops rapidly in this city as the sun sets. We don’t have many nights where it’s warm enough to comfortably sit outside in shorts after 9 or 10 pm. Maybe 10-15 nights a year. And I agree with Lubicon that Monday night was the first this year.

Driving home from work, feels like the city is in mayhem. For sure a grid alert is coming.

AESO is panicing because big power users are pulling out of the curtailment programs because they were not paying enough. Begging us to stay in.

Ugh...could you imagine a sunburn there? That'd be brutal.

How am I supposed to look down on others if I get AC. It’s one of things that makes me better than people.

Do they giving you more than the current rate. Even at $1000 a MWH that doesn’t come close to the value of production for that hour a lot of places.

Oh #### I finally stopped being a jackass a connected two wires to make the furnace fan-only command work. Already it’s been a game changer in my daughters room and at the risk of celebrating early, I’m going to celebrate early. #### the A/C, I gave a steady stream of 21degree air from my basement. #### works great man.
