Ah ok, and yeah I think I remember reading something about Safari or Flash being handled differently too, I think I was trying to get Hulu from my wife's laptop to the Boxee and it wouldn't work, but when I used the iPad version of Hulu it was fine.

Does anyone sync their Google calendars to their phone using CalDAV? If so, have you noticed that your calendar colours got lighter and more pastel-like on your phone, but look the same in Google? Sometime in the last day or two?
The colours are still syncing properly (if I change a colour from red to blue, for example), but they are just way lighter on the iPhone than they were a few days ago. Not sure what happened.

Hey quick question about icloud. I'm having issues with timezones. I currently have my timezone set as Calgary, but when I enter an item into my iphone calendar for 7PM it will show up in my icloud at 6PM, and if I enter something into my icloud calendar for 7PM it will show up on my phone saying 8PM, can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Stock closed at $699.78 today. Apparently over $700 in after hours trading.
2 million iPhones in a day doesn't hurt I guess.

I sent a PM and realized that it might help somebody else coming across the issue/tread in the future:
Hopefully this can help.

Happy iOS6 day everybody. I've been playing with it for a week now and am overly happy with it. To finally have Siri fully functional in Canada is a wonderful thing. Downloads generally become available around 11am mountain time, but there's no official time for release.

iOS5 crippled my 3gs. I don't even know if you can upgrade to iOS6 with a 3gs, but it doesn't matter because I won't touch it.

Apparently it's slightly better in some areas speed wise on the 3GS, and at worst its the same (engadget review)

I am quite confident that iOS6 will run nicely on my 4s, but I am always a little gun shy when it comes to Apple updates. iOS4 made my 3G slower than molasses in January, which left me feeling a little cheated.
I realize that Apple (and other tech companies, of course) enjoys obsolescence in order to drive sales on new models, but it leaves a bad taste when an update is made available for a device that could never handle it, and there is no official/easy way to roll back.
That being said, I'll probably update to iOS6 as soon as it is available.

I thought there was a software issue with the 3G and iOS at release that did have big performance problems, but they supposedly fixed that - did it get any better with subsequent updates?
Doesn't excuse them, obviously, but I'm curious if they actually managed to fix it.

It's available now, and I've noticed no issue whatsoever on a 4S so far. You just need to be aware that google maps is missing for the time being (have to use the web site or wait for google to release the app).

While trying not to sound dramatic, it went from molasses in January to molasses in March. There was a "fix" eventually, which made it just barely usable, but it was still significantly slower than under the previous OS.
However, I did unlock it and I have used it as a travel phone. It isn't flashy, and most apps aren't compatible with iOS4 anymore, but it is better to be able to do things very slowly than not at all while travelling. But as a daily phone, I was ready to chuck it against a wall.

Just downloading now. Siri working for locations in Canada will be a big plus as I haven't found her very useful yet. And being able to launch an app via Siri will be nice.

Highlights for me include:
- iTunes match songs now stream on iOS instead of download-only (worst functionality of all time).
- Getting driving directions to something in maps is one less tap
- Maps look better
- If the maps app closes while navigating the directions still overlay in the small bar at the top of the screen
- Do not disturb mode is quite welcome
- panorama mode in photos is nothing new, but the end results seem MUCH better than any other 3rd party app I've used.
- The "i'm busy, I'll call you right back" auto text on phone calls is very useful
- Siri directions for contacts and businesses is awesome. It would be great to use for the flames schedule if... you know... there was one.

So, on my iPhone 4, what all should I look for in iOS6? Still no Siri, nav.
I turned on do not disturb, which will be great. My wife complains sometimes about emails that come during the night on my phone.

Edit: She changed her answer! Apparently it's Sunday, Sens vs. Canadiens...but not really. Unless she knows something we don't.
Ask her when the next hockey game is....

There are definitely a few good little tweaks. Nothing earth shattering, but some good things. My list looks a lot like Russic's, with the exception of iTunes Match, which I don't use.
I have a GPS unit in the car that I use occasionally, but I can see the turn-by-turn directions on the iPhone making my GPS unit collect a little more dust. As long as you've got a data connection, you're golden.
Siri is going to big for Canadians. I was underwhelmed with that feature previously, because it really couldn't do much in Canada. I can see it being very useful now.
