Missed this one, unfortunately, but judging by the box score, only a bit of a breakdown at the end of the second. Nice start to this series. Was very important to get off on the right foot this time around.

Congrats to Hitmen forward Brandon Kozun, he was signed by the Kings.

Congrats to Brandon Kozun on the contract, definitly well deserved! A good comparison to Kozun is former Med Hat Tiger Tyler Ennis, who is in his first year of pro hockey this year and has been putting up points. 65 points in 69 games in the AHL and 5 points in 5 games in the NHL with the Sabers. Both listed as 5'9 but realisticly both around 5'6-5'7 haha

Crazy game in Portland vs Vancouver. 9-6 for Vancouver.

Good for Brandon. The kid deserves it.

Kozun has played really well for the Hitmen but I think the transition to the NHL is going to be pretty tough for him

I've always wondered about this - what is it about Ennis that makes people consider him so much more of a sure bet than Kozun? I agree that the gap could be pretty small.

The Kings organization thinks very highly of him. They won't be rushing him to the NHL. He'll be at prospects camp this summer and probably come back around when the other rookies start showing up before training camp. They'll get a good look at him and most likely assign him to Manchester. At this point, the expectation is that he can be an NHL player. Only time will tell if the Kings scouting staff is right about that.

Kozun has a good vision on the ice. The question on his success will be if he can adapt to much faster speed of the pro game. If he can, I think he can be a serviceable NHLer. If he can't, either the ECHL or Europe are in his future.

Hitmen take a 2-0 series lead after a convincing 4-0 win tonight. Once again, they gave the Tigers nothing. The Tigers were the better team in the first but couldn't capitalize, in fact, they really didn't have a great chance to score despite being the better team. The last 40 though, it was really all Hitmen.

Trust Isherwood to spoil his diaper at the end too. I think if he threw one more punch on that unprovoked attack, his 2+10 would have been 2+5+game as an aggressor/fighting an unresisting opponent. I also liked the way Stone threw his helmet down in front of the Tigers bench after he destroyed Kundratek - who should have gotten an instigator, imnsho. He tried to send a message and got clobbered.

Hitmen were in complete control again tonight for 2 plus periods got a 5 on 3 early in the 3rd but the Tigers killed off both penalties and ended up coming back from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits. In OT the Tigers scored early to cut the series lead to 2-1.

Was sad, just as the Flames game ended, the Tigers had scored in OT. Not a good night for Calgary teams.
At least there'll be a Game 5 to go to now?

Disappointed that they blew 2-0 and 3-2 leads so easily in the third. Can't happen again.

Just a reminder that if you want to watch some hockey tonight, the Hitmen game starts at 7 on Shaw.

ROFL. Ashim gets drilled square from behind, but these clowns give Calgary a penalty. What a f'ing joke.

...And the referees hand Medicine Hat a goal.

Bad non call for sure but the Hitmen aren't exactly playing all that well in their own zone to start here. Tigers winning lots of board battles.

Indeed. But lets see the Tigers earn their offence with their play. It shouldn't be handed to them on a silver platter.

Any referee that choses to ignore a check from behind like that should summarily lose his job. That is a total disregard for the welfare of a player.
