Well...not for at least another week! But if the Bengals don't rally to put up a respectable season, it could be possible.

hahahahaha! stupid eagles!
up 16-12 with 2 minutes left and the ball on the CHI 3.
Had been blitzing all game then decide... this is scary we better sit back and play our 'prevent defense'
GRIESE drives the Bears 97 yards with 0 timeouts for a 19-16 victory!
What kind of strategy is that?

Well, I'm pretty darn happy and surprised by what I've seen from the Broncos tonight so far, especially on defense.
2 takeaways and lots of pressure on Ben. Good start.

Elvis Dumervil will wind up being the best player in the 2006 draft not taken in the first round. An absolute MONSTER!

Absolutley brutal. The D was fantastic all day but our offense is just atrocious. The Eagles need to try to get Limas Sweed in next year's draft.

As if the Miami season can't worse, Ronnie Brown definately has a sprained knee but will undergo an MRI tomorrow, rumours are flying around that it is a torn ACL. 0-16 here we come.

Yes offense is bad although I think the Chicago D finally showed up.
But the play calling on D the last 2 minute was appalling. As you said D was fantastic all day, why stop at the end. You got Griese pinned on the 3 yard line with 0 timeouts. Go take his head off!
How much do these coaches get paid to coach scared?
Denver nearly blew it tonight also after being up 28-14.
Love the "prevent defense"

Oh man. That's pretty much the worst news you could hear as a Dolphins fan. 0-16... unbelievable.

"Miami running back Ronnie Brown will miss the rest of the season as a result of Sunday's knee injury, two sources said Monday. An MRI revealed enough damage Monday morning to declare Brown's season as done."

I feel for ya bud. But as a New Orleans Saints fan I know the feeling. This team came into the league in 1967 and didnt have a single winning season until the 80's. Hell, it took them 34 years before they won their first ever playoff game! Of course I wasnt around for most of that though, being only in my mid-20's. But I hear things . 1999 and 2005 were particularly awful to watch.
On a side note, do you guys play the St. Louis Rams this year? Because I'm convinced this is the one team you could beat. I actually drafted the Dolphins D in my Fantasy league, and of course had to drop them by week 3. So now my strategy(which I have done for the past 3 weeks) is just take the D of whatever team is playing the Rams(as long as its a FA D of course). For example, the Seahawks D just landed me 24 points yesterday...

Big test for us tonight on the road against a pretty good Jacksonville team. Hopefully we have some players back coming off the bye week. I expect the offense to have another big game! GO COLTS!

Oh my God! Thats horrible dude, he's been your one bright spot this year. When it rains it pours eh? Well think of it this way(its the mentality I had in '05 once the Saints got to about 1-8): the season's a wash anyways, and with Brown now out for the year, the Dolphins should be able to basically seal up at least the #2 overall pick in a draft arguably as deep as 2006 was.
I was at the 2005 Saints season finale in Tampa, when N.O. was 3-12 and I was just praying for a close loss(which happened and it landed us Reggie Bush. If the Saints win that game Im convinced Bush is a Jet right now). Horrible mentality to have about your own team, I know. But looking forward to the draft is the only way to keep yourself sane in seasons like these. Believe me I know all about them...
Just think about how good Brian Brohm will look in teal(as long as Cameron doesnt pull a "Cameron" come draft day)

They just drafted John Beck last year in the 2nd round. I dont think theyre going to need another QB with the amount of holes they have.
I think this draft will have some solid players available... definitely not as deep as the draft with Young, Bush, Leinart, Cutler, etc..., but way deeper than the year before with... Alex Smith. There's no "superstars" by comparison to the 2006 draft but alot of bluechip guys - Long (OT - Michigan), McFadden (RB - Arkansas), Brohm, Ryan (QB - BC) and a host of defensive players from LSU, Florida, USC.
It's a little early to start looking at the draft, but when youre 0-7 and you lose the best offensive player you have for the season... it's never too early (I speak from experience... Im a Raiders fan and I endured last year (years - since 2002).

Oh yeah definitely not as star-studded as '06 with names like Bush, Young, Leinart, etc. But its still a very deep draft. As for not drafting Brohm because you have Beck, I dunno, I'd probably still pull the trigger. But when you have as many holes as the Dolphins do then youre probably right that you can justify filling holes elsewhere. Being only October, I havent really looked at mock drafts too closely so I dont really know who the Dolphins would be zeroing in on, so I suppose I cant really weigh too heavily in on this.

The Dolphins don't get to play the Rams, they draw the NFC East this year which is probably the toughest NFC Division. They have the Giants in jolly old England this week and a game left against the Eagles this week. If they're luckey Andy Reid won't have figured out that you can run wild on the Dolphins yet and will insist on trying to throw the ball on every down. Than again Brady schredded the Dolphins pass defence pretty well too.
At 2-4 I'm not so sure the Saints are out of the NFC South yet. Tampa still gives me a so-so vibe and Atlanta is not very good and Carolina is using a 43 year old retread to steer the ship. Any other division in football and I'd say put a fork in them. But in that division an 8-8 record with enough division wins could be enough.

The reasons I would say they wont draft Brohm is because they did have a shot at Brady and chose Ginn and I dont think one can say that Brohm is more polished or is that substantially better than Quinn to warrant essentially wasting the pick of Beck.
I think you at least need to give Beck a shot and use the top pick to either trade down, get an offensive line or get younger on defense.
It's too bad this injury didnt happen a week or two ago. Miami could have moved Taylor for a bunch of picks and officially begun the rebuilding with picks and extra cap room.

Well here is the thing. Miami Needs to play Beck after the bye week and see what potential he's got, if he shows potential then we can either
a) trade the pick for multiple picks or
b) now with Ronnies torn ACL, draft Mcfadden, because as far as I know no running back is ever the same after a torn ACL. There is hope though if there is no cartalge(sp?) damage, I hear thats the worse.

I guess on one bright side when I eventually have kids and 10 - 20 years down the road when Miami is winning!!!. My kids will be like you only cheer for a winner, I'll be kids, kids, it always wasn't this way we were the league disgrace.

Miami has one good shot and one mediocore shot, to not go 0-16 as far as I know and that is the Jets at home and the mediocore one is the Bills at home.
