The Flames range? If the Flames finish there the pick goes to Montreal.

It would be so nice to grab Misa. Don’t think he is in reach though

sounds like some serious character flaws. Everyone drafting before the Flames should pass on him

We got beat down by 3 teams below us in the standings. A free fall will have us in the lottery. Most of our December schedule is playing within 4-5 points of us.

Hope we fall right down into the bottom-5.

Yeah, it would the best for the long run, but I fear Wolf is just too good for that to happen. Which is a total catch 22.

And kind of ironic as our last rebuild we struggled to ever find a legit franchise goalie in the right age range, where as it appears this rebuild we may have one very early on and he's possibly good enough to keep us from drafting high enough to have a better shot at elite talent.

We can hardly muster any offence unless we get down. Wolf is great but if we give up 2-3 it’s going to be hard for us to win.

At some point we have to think what’s best for the franchise. Letting Vladar got to UFA and keep playing him and letting him get shelled vs trading him for maybe a 3rd and have Wolf steal us games potentially costing us our 1st round pick.

Wolf has been really good, which is awesome to see.

However, if the team starts losing more than it wins, momentum and confidence both become victims. At that point, Wolf won't be able to carry the team on his own.

If the best we can get for Vladar is a 3rd or 4th it’s probably ideal to keep him. If Wolf slips up a bit we can send out Vladar to take the beatings.

Protects Wolf and keeps us in the hunt for a much needed top 5 pick.

Also shows the league we won’t just give players away either.

Can anyone speak more to what level of prospect Michael Misa is looking like right now? I assume he’s not a Celebrini-level prospect but how does his current projection compare to these players in their projections in the draft year: Will Smith, Adam Fantilli, Ivan Demidov or Tij Iginla.

Similar to any of them in play style or skill set? Does he project more as a 2nd line centre or a first line centre? Or does he project to be more suited as a winger at the NHL level?

Will Smith is a very good comparison

Goal scoring centre/wing

I really like Smith, they both have a very high hockey IQ and passing skills but Misa is a more dynamic skater and he's more physical.

I think he'll score more as well

How many CHL players, at least in the last 30 years, have been able to put up 2 pts/gp or more in their draft year? Joe Thornton did it, Patty Kane did it, Sidney Crosby did it, Connor McDavid-but I can't think of many. Assuming they can keep up their current scoring pace, we have TWO players that are headed towards accomplishing that feat this year, in Misa and Martone. Of course, there's a huge difference between Major Junior and the NHL, but even 100-point CHL players at the Draft are good bets to turn into star players, never mind those with over 2 points per game....

Yup, absolutely unbelievable. The talent coming down the pipe these days is astounding. Landon Dupont is a 15 year-old in the WHL, and is putting up a point-per-game too....

You mean he's not in reach "yet".

Give us some time and we can settle into that bottom 10 and conversation for bottom 5. I don't care how good our goaltending is this offense isn't getting us anywhere fast.
