Don't forget teams might start resting stars before the playoffs. So the Jets vs the Wild and Avs to finish the season might be a bit concerning.
that said, the Jets have been resting their stars for the past 2 months.
Yes but that division race isn't going anywhere. Winning/losing those games will likely decide either an opponent of MIN/COL/DAL vs. SEA or home ice in the first round.

I think the Top 3 teams in Central and Pacific will keep playing hard to try and lock up 1st in the division. You look at who they might play in a 2/3 matchup and who they would play in a wildcard and there is a big drop off.
Unless the Flames make a WC, then theres no dropoff
I think even Seattle might be catchable. Their next 2 games are the Ducks and Kings. They lose both and the Flames win both of theirs (Canucks and Ducks), then on Monday morning the Flames would be 1 back of them.
I've been following this team long enough to expect three straight losses against the next three bottom feeders and have the Jets / Preds games not matter at all.

The head to heads are what scare me most, not so much the other games. Especially when it's a 3rd game in 4 nights situation. I would consider putting in Pelletier, Ruzicka and Vladar the night before playing Winnipeg vs Chicago and roll the lines just to have your top players as well rested against the Jets as possible.

I'm as pessimistic as any Flames fan, but like come on. Read the thread title you nimrod.

And you have been on this board long enough to know better than to post this garbage in an optimist thread.

Vancouver isn’t really a bottom feeder right now. Those are the games I’m worried about.
Play the way they did against the kings and I'm optimistic.
Need to have that urgency and physicality. Canucks don't have nearly as much on the line and probably will be deterred by guys smashing and leaning on them with playoff intensity. That's not fun to go up against.
All hands on deck.

It's pretty incredible, a lot of the renewed belief can be narrowed down to three individuals of late: Duehr, Markstorm, and Reimer.
Go Flames!
I wanted to give up after ANA loss, I wanted to give up again after the loss to Vegas. But the blood in this 42 year old that has childhood memories of '89 and even more vivid memories of '04 I can never really give up.

I have no idea why people keep coming into the thread and posting nonsense like this. Do you think you’re being edgy or something?
Everyone knows it’s an uphill battle. Let us have fun cheering for the team! It’s fun to go up against the odds!
